On behalf of myself, and on behalf of my country, to you and all African Americans, from the beginning of our nation’s history, in honor of your ancestors and for the sake of your children, please hear this from my heart…

With this prayer I acknowledge the depth of evils that have been perpetrated against black people in America.
From slavery, to lynchings, to white supremacist laws, to the denial of voting rights, to all the ways both large and small, that abuses have occurred — all of them evil, all of them wrong.
For all the oppression and all the injustice…

please forgive us.

For the denial of human and civil rights, for inequities in criminal justice, for instances of police brutality, for the denial of opportunity, for economic injustice, for all ways that racism has fostered these wrongs…

Marianne is a total kook and that is why the GOP is contributing to her campaign - they want her in because she makes the debates ever more interesting and they're interesting enough without her. They are all aligned with her views, except maybe on mandatory vaccinations. Or maybe not.

IIRC, she tried to run for Henry Waxman's old seat and lost. New Age Jewish Texan transplant progressive, her answer to the question of what would be her first act as POTUS was comedic gold. Democrats don't like her in because they fear she will be thought of as the face of the party. but she's not. That's AOC and her posse.

The face of the party will be whomever the presidential nominee ends up being. I thought it would Harris; however, if Biden can rebound in the next debate(much like Reagan did after his disastrous debate in 1984), then I think the nomination could very well be his to lose. He could pick Harris as his running mate to ramp up the women and black vote while Biden helps with the white folks in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Biden would easily win the popular vote by around six million votes, so it would come down to those three states in the Electoral College.

Harris would get a lot of help from Willie Brown in California and she has a distinguished pedigree of wealth and privilege. Biden is very handy with the girls.

Biden can be a GREAT debater, he was passive with Sarah Palin and still won, aggressive with Paul Ryan and really won. Iowa is made for a candidate like that, he's even beating Liz in NH, and he's over 20 points ahead in SC, black voters like him a lot. He is the toughest of all for Trump, wouldn't have to put a POC on the ticket, why not choose Stabenow of Michigan to shore up the Upper Midwest instead of Kamala?

Willie Brown is just a little gun shy after that homewrecker Kamala wrecked his home. Kamala is another Monica Lewinsky. Kamala swindled Willie big time but she slept her way to the top, a traditional female method of promotion.

So you are advocating for Harris for a spot on the Dem ticket and you don't look at her homewrecking of Willie Brown's home and you don't look at her estrangement from her father, who has said that she is not African-American and that he is descended from slave owners but Snopes says that that has not been proven? Her father was a big shot in Jamaica and her mother was a big shot from India and she grew up rich and travelled and slept her way to the top in California and you just say that you don't follow "minutiae"? I imagine that you know all the dirt on Trump, right? The Dems just don't have anyone as respectable as Trump. What do you think of Biden's habit of putting his hands all over little white girls? What about Biden putting his hands all over a Secret Service Agents girlfriend and almost getting slugged for it? Do you think that someday some alpha male father will slug Biden for groping his minor daughter?

Politics is such an awful business nowadays. I try to stick to the overhead drone view of elections. When I was younger I thought politics was fun, but no longer. I used to long for more political news and shows. Now I wish we could go back to when there was hardly any political news and you had to go find it in places like the newspaper on the editorial page.

The best thing about politics(and the rest of this world) is that I am almost 64 years old and I know that each day I am getting closer to leaving all this mess behind - either through my going to be with Christ or Christ coming and replacing this fallen creation with the new heavens and earth.
