Actually they are not. They date back to the era when Biblical values were were legislated. The same era in which almost every state made both consensual sodomy, fornication, and adultery felonies.

Without God there is no morality. He is the source of all true morality. As an ex-smoker I can say that intentionally inhaling the smoke from something is stupid, retarded, idiotic, no stinking common sense. It does not matter what it is cigs or pot. Smoking cigs is just as immoral as smoking pot. Both do things to the body it was never made to take. The bigger moral problem is with pot because it does not keep in line with staying sober minded. It is no different than getting drunk.

Now pot as with alcohol may serve some medicinal purpose and then it should only be used for that purpose, in moderation, and under a doctors care. Such a use should never be abused as an excuse to get high.

I should not have to caveat this issue but people just cannot stand it when they find it difficult to protect their buzz.

Clearly, Marijuana is certainly not as interesting as abortion or LGBTQ subjects
