Married to an alcoholic

Personally I think you should seek counsel from someone you trust, a pastor, a teacher, or perhaps confide in your wife’s counselor, if she’d allow it.

Maybe look in to an AA meeting, they may be able to point you in a positive direction.

This isn’t such a great place to seek advise of that nature IMO

You may be right.... I came here because of anonymity... but you may be right. I will consider deleting my post.

Pastor - check / offers prayer, empathy and support but no concrete advice.
Counselor - check / has built a trusting relationship with my wife and.... for a lack of better wording, believes her over me.

Thank you for the AA meeting advice. I think I will take it and delete much of my post.

If there is a Moderator that wants to delete this threat, feel free.

If your spouse is addicted you should attend Al-Anon meetings ASAP. If a local church hosts one, all the better. Be proactive....

There is something called AL-ANON for families struggling to deal with alcoholic family members
