He most likely would not. Despite the best efforts of its leaders, China will not be able to resist capitalism they will need government intervention.

Now as a show of good faith, answer my question please.

And my "rant" is right on, apparently.

Not my problem if you do not realized I answered your question.

You started this thread with a. accusation. Show us the error, please. Let's use this as a learning tool.

Like I said, watch or listen to the lecture and go back through the threads and you will see that there are those on the BB who have little understanding of what Marx taught. That was, is and will be my answer.

The idea that I will find your accusation substantiated by sitting through hours of videos is ridiculous. I doubt you even did it.

Tell us where we have it wrong.

Many. Watch the video. Look them up and you will see.

I'm not going to watch a 45 minute video. I'm absolutely 100% sure the professor is not going to name people and discussions that occur on Baptist Board. So why not just tell us in your own words?

Did Marx come from the proletariat? If he did not, then why did he climb the stage to champion their causes?

The proletariat was/is the working class. Marx viewed Capitalism as having two classes, the working class and the Capitalist class. To be working class meant that a person could not survive unless they had to sell their services, or work in order to survive.

It really does not matter which class Marx was a member of or if he was a member of both. He saw what he considered problems within Capitalism ... there are problems in any economic system. He believed that a period of Capitalism was necessary so that wealth could be created that would lead to Socialism where the wealth created by the capitalists would make such a society possible. He was wrong and he had no way of knowing changes that would take place that make his ideas obsolete.

IMHO because of the greed in mankind that prevents pure socialism and Communism, they are not the same thing, from ever being a reality.

Marx gained many of his ideas from various writers in what is now call the period of Enlightenment. He was especially influenced by Thomas Hobbs. Hobbs developed a theory on Capitalism that Marx expanded upon.
