Matthew 24

Lets take a look at Matthew 24--I think well all agree that jesus was speaking unto the Disciples in this chapter.

vs 2:And Jesus said unto them, see YE(disciples)not all these things?verily i say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

vs 6:And YE(disciples)shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, see that ye be not troubled;for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

vs 9:Then shall they deliever YOU(disciples) up to be afflicted, and shall kill YOU,and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

vs 14:And this gospel of the kingdomshall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.
(Romans 16-26:But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God,made known to all nations for the obedience of faith)
(Colossians 1 5-6:For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;Which is come unto you,as it is in all the world;and bringeth forth fruit,as it doeth also in you, since the day ye heard of it,and knew the grace of God in truth)

Those 2 texts are proof texts that gospel was already preached in all world.

vs 15 :When YE(disciples) therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet stand in the holy place,(whosoever readeth ,let him understandeth)

vs 20:But pray YEthat YOUR(disciples) flight be not in the winter;neither on the sabbath day.
vs 21:For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to thus time,no,nor ever shall be.

vs 23:Then if any man shall say unto YOU(disciples)Lo,here is christ, orthere:believe it not

vs 25:Behold,I have told YOU(disciples)before.
vs 26:Wherefore if they shall say unto YOU(disciples)Behold he is in the secret chambers;believe it not.

vs 29:Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

vs 33:So likewise YE(disciples)when YE shall see ALL THESE THINGS,know that it is NEAR,aeven at the doors.

vs 34:Verily i say unto you,THIS GENERATION shall NOT pass away, till ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.

In all these texts we see jesus telling THEM(not us or 3k years down the line people)but the disciples of that day, that all those things were gonna happen before that generation was passed away---and always said YE or YOU in these texts referring to the Disciples of that day.

Now what is included in these texts??????????????????????????????????????

The fortold death of some of the disciples were told.
The great tribulation was told in their day.
The Judgement was told in their day.
The Resurrection(Rapture)was told in their day.
Gospel being preached in all the world was told in their day.

Verse 34 sums it ALL up--THAT GENERATION wasnt going to pass away till ALL THOSE THINGS he had afore mentioned CAME TO PASS.

its very clear from the language of all the other verses it meant that generation that was alive at that time and AD 70 would have fit the bill to that PERFECTLY. So go ahead and try to make up something else to say that wasnt what it was trying to say,but i think its very clear here :)

Your OP was way too long to read and take seriously. Simplify for interaction.

Scriptures right out of bible are too many statements???

Do you read the bible--with scripture is what we establish doctrine :)

I think its very simple already--most dont address it because they know that Matthew 24 states all that i posted it saying and they have no answer for it :) its very evident he was telling the disciples of his day all those things were gonna happen to them and they would witness them :)

Thing is, I'm not in disagreement with your position. I'm just saying that people are less likely to interact with you if your OP is as uninviting as your OP. You could do just fine w/ posting the references or at least don't bother putting spaces between each verse. It was too complicated to understand your flow. Paragraphs are a good thing. Give 'em a try.

His OPs are all convaluted by design. Then he taunts and baits everyone if no one answers them. The boy would not give you a straight answer if his life depended on it imo. sheesh. He gives one of the most disputed passages in the N.T. of which there are a plethora of views. D.A. Carson has a good explanation in his commentary on Matthew in "The Expositors Bible Commentary". Too long to go into and I'm just not in the mood after doing P.T. and now icing. Maybe later if no one else gives that view.

why make matthew 24 so hard when its not--jesus is plainly talking to his disciples of their day--Just like im talking to YOU in our post here--Jesus told them the things that would happen in their day and time--People make it so hard because they dont wanna let go of that tradition just like the Jews when jesus came to them--they rejected his words also :)

Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Did Rome attack Jerusalem in 70 A.D. because of Jesus?

Romans did not do it the jews did it--they hated christ and also hated the disciples.

Jesus said that they hated him and that they would also hate the disciples.

So the Jews destroyed Jerusalem? That's a new one on me. Say what you mean, pal, spit it out and make it clear. Your posts are as clear as mud.
