This afternoon I transcribed it and tried it in a Latin translator. It comes out something like this. Here is the transcription, if anyone wants to try to translate it.Among the things that are written by Jeremiah, this is not found anywhere in his prophecies, they are neither in those read in churches or among the Jews. If anyone does know, then show where it is written. I suspect that it is an error in the scriptures, and so Jeremiah was placed for Zechariah; or that there is some secret Scripture of Jeremiah, in which is written. This is the text of the prophet Zechariah-And I said to them: If it is good for you, give me my wages, if not, forget it. So they paid me thirty pieces of silver. And he said to me, Cast it to the potter: a goodly price that I was valued by them. I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the potter.- If any one thinks he is, however, in saying these things is offended, take heed to see if it be somewhere in some kind of secret places of prophesy by Jeremiah; that even an apostle may give secret pieces of Scriptures, knowing forth that which is, as it says somewhere:-Things which eye has not seen, nor ear heard- We find this not in the book of its being placed, unless it is in his secrets of the prophet Elijah. Also he said, as Jamnes and Mambres resisted Moses; this is not found in the writings of public scriptures, but in the secret book that written of Jamnes and Mambres. Therefore, some have even dared to reject the letter to Timothy, as having in some secret text inside it, but they could not. Nor the first letter to the Corinthians, for the sake of this insertion was never rescinded as spurious, for so my ears have never heard.
