Paul Mulshine of the Newark Star=:edger wrote an Op-ed stating that a President should not be elected after the age of 70.
If that should be the rule - then that age should also be set for Congress

When I used to work for a state gov agency, the policy was mandatory retirement at age 70. Always saw a few that were functioning fine and could have continued profitably working.
HOWEVER, I would put the ratio of getting rid of the incapable to the capable at about 10 to 1.

It was rather amazing that the two major political parties ran a 78-year-old and a 74-year-old for president in 2020. It is even more amazing that they might run an 82-year-old and a 78-year-old for president in 2024. What? Can't they find a couple of centenarians to run for president in 2024?

I think the two major political parties have gone past their "Use By" date and have turned rancid. I wish all candidates for public office had to stand on their own two hind legs and run as independents.

aye ... perhaps we should have kept the parties as platform holders/promoters. No more party primaries. Just primaries ... ALL on are on the same ballot and have a couple run offs.

But that ship sailed long ago, and it resulted in the consolidation of power in DC. The two eagles wings have performed its function. Rebirth of Israel. it's now time for it to be relegated in submission to the prince of persia.

"nimrod" is doing everything exactly right for that to happen.

NEGATIVE!
They do that in Calif - and what happens - the top two end up on the balott - often both Dems - thus no real choice!

Nonsense. Read the book of Hebrews.

Ancient Israel ended in 70 A.D. Period. And it ain't coming back in any Biblical sense, regardless of the nonsense espoused by dispensationalists.

they do that in Louisiana and the parties don't have the power they do everywhere else.

there's not the cheating of running a democrat in a republican primary either. in an open, it doesn't matter. Line 'em up and let 'em run.
