Can a member of the SDA disagree with the written word of Ellen White and remain a member in good standing in the SDA?
There are quite a few of them primarily in Europe and Austrailia
How do they get away with that?
I have repeatedly stated that your fictional narrative is totally false - but you refuse to be informed by the actual facts.
Even when simply Bible texts are posted your response is 'but Ellen White...."
Not an answer.
Are you distancing yourself from Ellen White's teachings? Do YOU agree with all of her written works, Bob?
I don't live in Australia or Europe -- I am not at all distancing myself from Ellen White as a true prophet of God. But that does not mean I don't know the facts about some SDAs that do not see things the way I do.
My views on in line with all 28 of the Fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination and I also strongly affirm the ministry of Ellen White as a true prophet.
What I do not do -- is take your approach and the approach of Mormons where every thread and every topic is "about the prophet"
Are you saying that Ellen White is wrong on some things, such as her racist views regarding blacks? . .
Or do you agree with her that blacks are 1/2 gorilla .
Satan takes the role of "twisting the Word of God" saying to Eve "Indeed - has God said... " then some twisted distortion of the actual text of God's Word followed. How sad that there are some who follow his practice.
Satan take the role of "false accuser of the brethren" in Rev 12 -- how sad that today some folks view that as a "virtue"
your ability to "quote you" will pretending someone else should be blamed for what you write - is astounding.
knowing almost nothing about the subject is not serving you well.
Ellen White worked harder than anyone to funnel tithe dollars into the south to evangelize African Americans, when a lot of other members would have preferred to work in other parts of North America.
What is more Ellen White was very vocal about the civil war and the fact that God was going to hammer the nation for its oppression of Africans in America.
"Christ came to this earth with a message of mercy and forgiveness. He laid the foundation for a religion by which Jew and Gentile, black and white, free and bond, are linked together in one common brotherhood, recognized as equal in the sight of God." -- Testimonies, vol. 7. P. 225
Mrs. White called slavery "'a sin of the darkest dye.'" Testimonies, vol 1. P. 359
Furthermore, she demanded its public defenders be disfellowshiped from the Advent Movement.
Rebuke to a racist
"'You have never looked upon slavery in the right light, and your views of this matter have thrown you on the side of the Rebellion, which was stirred up by Satan and his host. Your views of slavery cannot harmonize with the sacred, important truths for this time. You must yield your views or the truth. Both cannot be cherished in the same heart, for they are at war with each other. . . . Unless you undo what you have done, it will be the duty of God's people to publicly withdraw their sympathy and fellowship from you, in order to save the impression which must go out in regard to us as a people. We must let it be known that we have no such ones in our fellowship, that we will not walk with them in church capacity.'" Testimonies, vol. 7. pp. 359, 360
At a time when slavery was an open question for Americans, Mrs. White declared that Adventists holding pro-slavery views were anathema. It would not have been possible to denounce slavery in the strong terms Mrs. White used and still have stopped short of being an abolitionist. In fact, Adventists were abolitionists at a time when most opponents of slavery advocating other solutions.
At a time with "Southern Baptists" were being organized specifically because in the south they wanted to allow for slave-owning evalgelists -- the SDA denomination was abolitionist.
============================================================
We have a pattern going here --
Every time you pick some detail and offer it up as if it were true - it turns out it is wrong and worse as in this case - horrifically wrong. That is because your thimbal of info on your topics only serves to mislead uninformed readers.
So you agree with Ellen White and tow the SDA line.
"But there is an objection to the marriage of the white race with the black. All should consider that they have no right to entail upon their offspring that which will place them at a disadvantage; they have no right to give them as a birthright a condition which would subject them to a life of humiliation. "
So then you lived at the time of the civil war??

You haven't dealt with Ellen's. . . I mean, God's comments, .
