Seriously.... can you trust republicans? It’s Stalin trusting Hitler.
It is the Republicans trusting Democrats on this one.
And none of them can be trusted. But since several Democrats have been outspoken that they will not support the removal of the filibuster I guess they have placed their reputations (for what they are worth) on the line.
I never liked the filibuster. My solution is lock them in a room without food or water until they come up with policies that pass with at least 90%. If they don't make the policy then sooner or later they will be replaced and buried with honors for standing by their convictions.
If they have pig farms in DC, you wouldn’t even have to bury them.
My interest in any of this as you know is to mitigate politics in with church/ worship. I’ve polled some of the more active members of BB and asked if church and state are mixed and I keep getting affirmations that they are.
So I just looked at the constitution from the church I’m affiliated with:
We believe that every Christian has a direct, personal, faith relationship with God; that each local church is autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; and that the Church and State must be kept separate.
Says who? No, I'm fine.

Of course the Dems can be trusted... to lie, deceive, hypocritize, and do everything in their power to ruin America, sell America out to the highest bidder, and yet hope to hold all the power.
