What? Homosexuals were not eating at McDonald's before, so they had to make this commercial to attract them?

I don't think it is sad, it is disgusting. I don't hate homosexuals but I don't think they should be privilaged or get special treatment simply because of their sexuality. What does homosexuality have to do with fast food anyway?

McDonald's should run ads about teens who have chosen chastity until marriage. Right, I'm sure we'll be seeing that.

If anything, this ad will cause me not to eat at McDonalds.

I am not familiar at all with the hierarchy of McDonald's but a couple of years ago it became public that one of their CEO's/VP's was queer.

The bottom line is that McDonald's needs to remain in the Hamburger Business and remove themselves from promoting any social agenda.

First, I'm not going to our local Burger King since it is nasty. How they remain open is beyond me.

Second, McDonalds is a corporation and they will advertise to anyone who will spend money in their establishments. As a secular business, I don't expect McDonalds to hold to Christian standards. Nor do I expect lost people to hold to Christian standards. We are not of this world, neither is our mission or message, and we should not expect this world to see or do things the way we do. Waiting for the world to see and do things our way is a waste of time.

Third, such boycotts don't work nor are they endorsed in Scripture. Spiritual warfare does not call for weapons of the flesh (guns, boycotts, legislation, etc). Trying to fight spiritual wars with fleshly weapons will only result in failure.

Fourth, you are free not to visit McDonalds. However this would be a matter of personal conviction. If you cannot visit a McDonalds in good consciousness then you should not. However going to McDonalds for my tea does not bother me (for the reasons expressed above).

It shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. Chick-fil-a not only promotes Christianity, but they are closed on Sunday so employees are guaranteed a day to be with family and worship.

I'm glad Chickfila is closed on Sundays. However that has nothing to do with this issue. The issue at hand is McDonalds. Also, I don't expect any company to promote Christianity. After all we are not of this world. Waiting for corporations to promote Christianity is like waiting for a rare comet. It might come around once and a while, but for the most part you are not going to see it.

While Chickfila's policy is not about the money it is true that the company is not hurting. They get plenty of business Monday thru Saturday and a good number of Christians eat their mainly because of the company's policy.

Back in the Early 80"s....

.... I was the administrator for a local drug and alcohol counseling agency in Fontana, CA. I attended an administrators conference in Costa Mesa, CA and the subject was AIDS.

During the 3 day conference, they had a morning session that dealt with the agenda of the homosexuals, and one of their goals than, was to assimilate and be fully accepted by society within the next 20 years.

Well, they are doing a good job at being accepted by society. Gay marriage is gaining support, and this McDonald's ad is one more sign that, as disgusting as it is to most believers, gays are being more and more assimilated into our society.

In California, even though we passed the law that forbids same sex marriage, each year, polls show that those who oppose same sex marriage are less than the previous year. It will not be much longer before the gays will gain the lawful right to marry.

McDonald's should be crossed off our list of fast-foods to support, but, I doubt if that will make a difference.

Schools are teaching your children to tolerate and accept gays, and many denominations have even ordained gays. This sends a message to society that being gay is just as natural as being heterosexual.

We live in a time of change. Not all of that change is good.

I am surprised that anyone is surprised at McDonald's support of the Homosexual agenda. This has been long-noted (at least a half-decade). The AFA finally tried to organize a boycott when it was revealed that Micky D's was giving large amounts of money to homosexual activist groups, including those that were specifically funded to legally challenge bans on gay marriage.

With as large a company as McDonalds is, I think we would all be shocked if they had never had a homosexual in an executive position. The problem that most had with the scenario was that he was a board member for the NGLCC and had McD. giving large amounts of money to them and other, much more activist, gay/lesbian/trans-gender organizations.

I agree with what you have stated. I agree that boycotts generally do not work and that we are in a spiritual battle. I also agree that going to such a restaurant is a matter of choice and that the Scriptures tell us to personally weigh such decisions (what we eat, etc.).

Still, the war that we wage does take place in a material world and we are held to account for how we use the resources that God has given us. I am curious as to what you see as our responsibility when it comes to spending money at a business that we know uses their profits to publicly support an anti-Biblical position. By the way, I know that many on these boards try to bait people into "fire exchanges"...this is not my purpose, I truly am curious as to how you see this question. When a Christian knows that a business uses their proceeds to publicly support an anti-Biblical position, does it make that Christian complicit?
