"These stories generally incite, rather than inform. They cherry-pick facts and lack context. Only when the COVID picture is viewed in perspective are people able to make wise decisions about their actions. It should be safe for society to continue broadly reopening while directing resources to specific at-risk populations, such as nursing homes and prisons, which are more vulnerable."

With massive riots and demonstrations all over the USA for a month or more, there must be a lot of disease amongst those who have a lower standard of living.

Once again this pandemic combined with the riots has emptied out the gun stores of both weapons and ammunition. With all this stupid talk of doing away with the police, people need to be armed to the teeth to protect themselves against organized crime as well as the rioters and looters and the people with the Kung Flu.

With more testing of course more people are positive, the article says hospitalizations are down, that is a good thing. I read that Europeans doctors think the virus has changed to a less deadly form. Some argue it must do that to survive or the virus would die out, so the virus has become less deadly. I dont know, that is like evolutionary talking but many believe it. The Oxford vaccine is looking very good for early release.
Oxford’s COVID-19 vaccine shows ‘very good results’ in trials, on track for October release: Project leader

Until they release a vaccine people will be edgy about covid. like want to sell the stocks, close the economy down, make people wear masks, close beaches, close bars, not fly in planes, not shake hands...

I also am not looking to get any vaccine for this, certainly not soon after release, beside I am pretty certain already had covid mid february, I am immune. I typically never get sick, have strong immune system, so was very surprised when got this flu like illness. First week was more acute, like a bad cold, second 2 weeks much better but had odd lingering heaviness in my breathing, whole thing took 3 weeks to go away. I can understand why some people can not breath who have many additional comorbidities. Those people are like one foot into the grave already, then covid puts them over the edge. They are going to die from something sooner than later, covid just quickens the pace. If not covid then the flu will do it. Covid is just another kind of respiratory flu.

So I can tell that to my 4th friends family who died of Covid, at her funeral this week? Very comforting.

Nothing personal just being realistic. And don't say that to some grieving people, it would not be fitting, due to their emotional state. Better off letting people alone, as it wont change what happened.

Its my understanding that Covid has already been through the prisons. They should be fine.

I am certainly not opposed to taking this disease seriously. I believe it would be easier to take it seriously if we could get more honest answers (one of which many times should be "we don't know"). Here, the news constantly drones "ramping up" but never seem to associate it with more testing. Also, to me, one of the more important charts at CDC (even if there is some over-reporting, as I expect) is the deaths at the end of each week. The death toll is down, steadily dropping, from a high in mid-April (4/18/2020 - 16,350) to 2,148 the week ending June 13. I am not saying that the death toll can't or won't rise. Nevertheless, why are we never hearing this good news about the death toll dropping? Doesn't sell enough newspapers?

I think that we are up against the Democrat hope that continuing the lockdown will cause a severe recession and so Biden can be elected to give us another leftist new deal to solve the economic problem by even more big government.

We were only supposed to flatten the curve to give the unprepared medical field a chance to get ready. They still aren't ready. The USA has government as corrupt as any banana republic in Latin America. Corruption is a very good reason to reduce the size of the government drastically. Chances are that Americans will put a Republican in the White House but leave the Democrats in control of Congress so we can have two more years of stalemate. Gridlock has been the American way since the end of World War II.

Probably several reasons, not the least of which would be the need to keep the scary hype up to keep Trump rallies at a minimum and Biden hidden away in lockdown.

There definitely seems to be a second wave in GA. I am not listening to media. I am simply looking at numbers.

Trump has increased arrests for child molesters about 10 times, which has really thinned the ranks of Bernie supporters.
You have just stated:

1. Child molestation is a federal crime.

2. Trump has made an effort to arrest child molesters, and has tallied a ten fold increase in arrests.

3. Many Bernie supporters are child molesters.

4. Based on the number of Bernie supporters there must be millions of child molesters.

What world do you live in? Seriously, are you mentally stable?

Pedophile Arrests Soar Under Trump: Media Silent | The Black Sphere

This will contradict your notion that sex trafficking is not a federal crime.

This will contradict your notion that sex trafficking is not a federal crime.

Sex trafficking is not necessarily the same as child molestation. Sex trafficking typically involves moving the victims across state lines. That is when the Feds get involved.

I await your proof that sex trafficking arrests are up 10 times since Trump got into office.
I await your proof that many of Bernie Sanders supporters are child molesters.
I await your proof that the number of Bernie Sanders supporters "has really thinned" because of the numbers of child molesters arrested.
