Citizens United was rightly decided by SCOTUS, just wrongly applied. Not if you repeal Citizens United and keep Super Pacs from existing. Stop treating corporations like individual humans and you take the medias money out of politics.
A corporation is, by definition, a single, individual entity - IE a "corpus." A single body. That definition is of absolute import in product liability law. If a corporation were not treated under law as a single entity it would be impossible to ever justly receive redress of grievance in court.
The problem is the application. Each and every incorporated PAC should be held to the maximum allowed individual contribution of $2,700 per election to a Federal candidate or the candidate's campaign committee.
That would put a stop to the PACs effectively buying elections by flooding the election with money.
