Funny - Bernie Sanders comment - encouraging public office service - LOL
Bernie has been glued to a public office seat for 33 years.
Do "career politicians" not know, there is no room on their lap for others to serve? LOL

Good grief, people all day long can criticize who votes for what BILL, or after the fact, what "they" would have done.

Bringing a BILL to the floor, in these times, IS one of the most corrupt and abusive acts of power the Congress does.

For Example the Barry Care, sold to the public as a Health Care Bill -
How many pages long? Approx TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED PAGES.
And WHO read it? The public? The Congressmen?
And WHO voted on it? People (Congressmen) WHO read it?

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi DIRECTING Congressmen to VOTE for it so they can find out what is in it.
Huh?

Seriously? It is the JOB of the Congressman to KNOW what they are VOTING FOR, BEFORE THEY VOTE, and Pelosi specifically DIRECTS the Congress to VIOLATE their own oaths to do their JOB....
and SHOULD HAVE been booted out of Congress for directing Congress to NOT do their JOBS!

Does PORK-BARREL ring a bell? The bill voted for BEFORE it was read, was FULL of pork-barrel...estimated up over 1 BILLION dollars worth.

So, ya, A Congressman's vote FOR something the public may want, typically includes a lot of baggage that is NOT Constitutionally sound.

I wonder why that percentage is so popular with far right wing conservatives?
I asked you twice, on Saturday of last week and Monday of this week:How do you define "far right wing conservatives"?
You haven't fleshed it out at all. You banter the term about frequently, but have been hesitant to explain.

I went into detail what I believe far left loons are. You owe the rest of us an explanation, otherwise you are just tossing the term around for fun. Therefore we can't take you seriously if that's the case.

Look Obama held off on the Saudi arms agreement while Trump gave them what they wanted. Brother, what do you call that? Then he reverses the hand by stating Iran will get no support (per conversation with Israel)... which BTW I couldn't be happier about. So now we are all in with Saudis but not Iran. What about Yemen, I'm confused. Maybe its Ivanka getting $100 Million for her foundation or that her husband brokered a sweet deal with Lockheed for missile systems (raising Lockheed stocks)......but of course Israel has nothing to worry about right?!? Now Rand Paul is upset & tea party conservatives are rattling cages???? I mean, what politics is this President looking to institute, Seriously!!! Is this really all about him & his family enriching themselves and the 1%ers or what?

The game has changed with The Saudis. The Saudis and Israel are now close military allies,

Agree. The current administration is looking for some stability in the region.
Taking out Kaddafi and sending planeloads of cash to Iran just didn't do the trick.

Making a comment to a comment in the article you posted;

"That’s the GOP that 42-year-old Arkansas pastor Robb Ryerse is trying to revive. He is the first Republican to be endorsed by Brand New Congress, a grassroots group started by former Bernie Sanders staffers to encourage Democrats and Republicans who have never served in office before to run for Congress."

Yeah. We too out Kaddafi shortly after he became an ally.

Sure that the Israelis will be happy to hear that! The Saudis have big pointy things (that go boom) pointing directly at Israel. Personally I would prefer to nuke them and take over the oilfields.

If Israel did not want it to happen, tf wouldn't happen. Saudis have realized that Iran, not Israel, is their enemy.

sure
Historically, it has kept the region stable. Stable from our point of view anyway.

Hmm, if you want to call 911 a stable situation that's your call.....as for me, I know that nothing is stable in the Middle East (and that includes Israel). suni vs shi'a, Iranian, Saudi, Iraqi, Syrian, Palestinian, blah blah blah.....It is always going to be a great big mess. Giving weapons to Saudis will only escalate to places like Yemen, Syria, Iran or any place these camel jockeys care to point them.

Makes sense. The irony is, critics of this were all over given billions to Iran.
Two wrongs dont make it right. I was a critic of the Iran thing then & now.
The Middle East is a mess, a power keg waiting to go up......We do ourselves no favors supporting any of it. Let them kill each other & then grab the oil.

911 happened after the first Gulf War. The first Gulf war is where we upset the balance.

Why do you think that we have historically maintained arms parity between opposing powers in the region? Obsolete arms, and equally armed.
