11 years ago I got a puppy. He got full of cancer and we had to put him down last Wednesday. Horrible week.

Trump goes over the line, way over it. Use of Time is correct.

Trump fights back, and ain’t afraid to roll in the muck. A lot of Americans are happy to finally see a guy in the WH who gives as good as he gets. Hank D is correct.

Sorry, bout the dog man. It's always tough.

I'm not objecting to what's she's doing, per se. She's running an anti-bully campaign and her husband acts like a bully with his insulting juvenile names he calls people. In other words, she didn't need to go to Detroit, she could have stayed at home and lectured her husband.

I thought she was going to Detroit, you know, blue collar, racially diverse city. Instead she went to one of the richest suburbs in Michigan.

Yes its awful losing a cherished pet.

You might think of getting a wolf puppy.:) Really!
Domesticated wolves will live over 20 years if you feed them raw meat, de-worm, get them their shots, etc...

We have had them in Maine and WA.
They are legal because domesticated wolves have about 5% dog in their gnome and are called a "Canine Hybrid" though you can't tell them from wild wolves.

My son has a domesticated wolf-dog 5 generations removed from the wild, a domesticated Timber Wolf.

A beautiful creature, VERY tame, very loyal, loves children.
However VERY ominous. A standing wolf stare is really creepy as his eyes follow you as you walk by but has no real threat unless you try to hurt someone. Then you are hamburger.

Of all our wolves we have had not one had an odor of any kind, amazing.
They do have a different animal culture than dogs, similar but different.

You must go through a ritual greeting in the morning, they lick your face, hands, you must stroke their head and neck.
You must learn to howl with them in the twilight of evening :) Really, children love it!

My Teddy, an Irish Setter, lived to be just short of his 18th birthday. He was the best dog I have ever had. Sadie, my present black Lab, is a great dog, but she is no Teddy. :)

Vitthar - Son of Thor, one of our wolf pups with my daughter Sarah - MMA professional champion - Sarah "The Monster"
.
Wolf pups are born with white fur and lose it later.

I've always been under the impression that wolves didn't make good pets.

Interesting.

How many generations removed from the wild do they need to be?

They are excellent pets- but they make freak out your neighbors.

My son's wolf Vitthar is almost 100 lbs, smaller breeds are available.

Actually wolves have a bad rep - if you know how, you can approach wild wolves and take pictures and they won't harm you.

Wild wolves very rarely hurt human beings
Wolves have the tools to kill animals much larger than humans and should be respected. However there have been a total of two deaths attributed to healthy wild wolves in North America since before 1900 (one of which is disputed). So, what should you do if you see a wolf? Grab your camera!

In comparison - according to the Center for Disease Control - 108 people were killed by cows from 2003 to 2008

Second generation pups do well if they are weaned early.

I had a male Irish Setter I adopted. That dog was beautiful....all mahogany red & a great bird hunter. Sadly cancer did him in. But I will tell you this, I want another Irish Setter (very loyal & very protective) .....but you MUST exercise them, they are bred for hunting after all.

Our first wolf was named Samoo - she was our farm wolf in Maine - 88 acres, she kept the coyotes away or dead.
She would occasionally eat one of our chickens then she would hide for a couple days til she got hungry.

Wolf hybrids are illegal in Missoula County.

Nope. My doggie was just a mutt. I rescued him from a shelter in Athol, Idaho when he was just a pup. Cost me 70 bucks.

Me too...lost my two bulldogs within a week of one another. They become like family...sorry to hear about the loss.
Speaking of bulldogs...just 15 minutes ago I saw a young one chained to a tree. There was no food or water bowl nearby. He looked thin with bones plainly visible.

He needs some TLC. He needs a family that cares. Why have a dog unless you have the desire to care for it? Can't you feed and water it properly? How about showing it some affection? Take it for walks. Man I am disgusted and feel pity for the poor dog. Sadly it is rather prevalent here.
