That is a good question. It baffles me also.

We seem to have quite a group locally. I couldn’t be certain of all of their beliefs. I am not certain of all their denominations. It is most obvious in Christian schools with wide open enrollments. It is not as likely that you find them “outside of the element” of “Christian” circles. But outside is where I run into them.
There are variations of it. An example is that not long ago, someone on the BB said they would never enter a church that was listed as only using the KJV. I don’t remember exactly where.
On some online sites that advertise churches, we would be listed as KJVO because we use only the KJV as the standard for our services. It keeps things organized and saves some trouble with translation discussions. We don’t have any fights about it at our church. It is settled as far as the assembly is concerned. Again, I say we don’t check Bibles at the door. I know some who bring their own different versions and nobody sends them packing.
It is helpful to know what to expect.

But people do go out of their way to avoid KJVO by ruling out KJV. It may be just a local thing primarily. But that is my perspective.

There is a difference between being anti KJV and anti KJVO. In fact, a huge difference.
You might think I am anti Kjy because if you start telling me everything wrong with the LSB or ESV I will probably tell you all that's wrong with the KJV; or I will laugh at you and walk off. Depends on what mood I am in.

I have. Same as I do here. What do you want to know? What I have found here is that there are only a couple people around here who are really anti KJ instead of anti-KJVO.
Of the people I have talked to, only one has ever been reasonable enough to relax their feelings. Most don’t have any good answers.
