Mexican Politician Climbs Border Fence To Prove Trump’s Wall Is ‘Totally Unnecessary’

The wall may be good politics in fooling people, but it is a total waste of money in reality.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Mexican congressman has a message for U.S. President Donald Trump: The wall you want to build along your country’s border with Mexico is “totally absurd.”

Braulio Guerra, a representative from the state of Querétaro, on Wednesday climbed a 30-foot fence along a Tijuana beach. Once at the top, he filmed a video to ridicule Trump’s pet project.

“I was able to scale it, climb it, and sit myself right here,” Guerra says in Spanish in the video, noting that “one of the highest parts” of the wall is in Tijuana.

“It would be simple for me to jump into the United States, which shows that it is totally unnecessary and absurd to build a wall,” he added. “It’s easy, and it shows how unnecessary this project, this political rhetoric from Donald Trump, is.”

In one of those pictures, there were two other guys on either of this fence. Why didn't they show how he got there? And he never scaled down and that's a good thing, a drop that long could break the bones, even fatally.

I don't get his point. Even if he scaled the fence with no help (and I can't see how), so what? I would've just walked into the ocean and crossed that way, but this guy would have had a fit - you do not go into Mexico at will, period. And this isn't a wall anyways.

Dumb stunt.

I wonder how many women and children can climb a wall like the one in the picture? Probably not very many.

Sure, that section of the "wall" could be better constructed, but even so, it is a deterrent.

It was a dumb stunt in that it shows the lie of the effectiveness of a wall. Dump because it shows Trump and his supporters are supporting a multi-billion dollar waste of money.

With help ... a lot could be gotten over the fence. The fence is stupid ... except for Trump's ignorant supporters who have not thought the issue over carefully.

I strongly suggest you take a long hard look in the mirror before accusing anybody else of the highlighted portion.
This, of course, is not limited to the "wall/fence" !!!
(Have you made your Dr. appointment yet??)

A wall is not a fence. But...If it's so easy to get over it , why does he care if one is built or not?

Perhaps it is the fools that should be taught the meaning of a WALL, instead of being a foolish example of showing others how to be an accomplished fool.

It's simply a matter of enforcing the law by deterring measures or saying thanks to Congress for being paid to ENACT statutes WITHOUT force or effect.

So is it your opinion the Constitution is void for vagueness because it didn't really mean elected officials have a duty to secure the welfare of citizens from invasion and didn't really mean elected officials have a duty to uphold the law?

Didn't say that. However billions on a wall is not a cost-effective way to provide security for citizens and it certainly does not add to their welfare. Food, health care, education add to their welfare.

The definition of the word welfare has changed since the 1700's. The writers of the Constitution did not mean food, health care, and education was to be promoted by Congress! Sheesh!

Food, health care, education to American citizens welfare? Our Government was never Constitutionally authorized to provide such things for its own citizens, (who are not in military service and food for prisoners). What would you suggest as a deterrent to stop illegal activity on the border?

Precisely! Welfare had two meanings...

1) Care of military servicemen ~ their wives/children IF the serviceman died in combat.
2) Something that was for the well being of ALL the general population, as specifically described...ie
roads, post offices, patents, money value, etc. Things not authorized for the individual sovereign states.

Education, food, healthcare PER the government involvement was for government employees and appointed and elected officials and military JOB training.

"You cannot be pro-life and anti-refugee!"

Sure you can. Of course I am PRO - LIFE. God IS LIFE.

A refugee is a person who is forced to escape from his own country, typically to a neighboring country to seek refuge until they can return to their own country, culture, religion, language, lifestyle.

Picking up, transporting, paying for, setting up, foreigners from thousands of miles away, for permanent residency, is a stretch on the intent of a refugee, regardless of what the politicos are calling it.

The intent of foreigners gaining lawful entry into America is for them to be in agreement to assimilate.

Open eyes.
