AV...You asked this question;"Is He not God that that He can do both?"

My answer? God can do anything he wants to do! However, God does NOT contradict Himself! If Jesus Himself said; "My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight..."

We must start taking Christ's OWN words more seriously than some on this board do. I fear for the consequences of those who choose to follow the words of "another Christ" (?) like Darby, Scofield, LaHaye etc...

    AV,

    If I mis-understood the posting of a re-quote, of a re-quote of a quote....well, I'm sorry.

However, essentially what I said still applies.

trailblazer, how long have you been a believer?
I would guess not long. You exhibit the newborn enthusiasm that most of us went through in the beginning. Enthusiasm must be tempered with discretion.
Most of us have learned to thoroughly investigate the doctrines of the Bible before we formed our opinions, or more accurately, reformed them.

In the past I have held different opinions on certain matters than I presently hold.

We have found that we will learn nothing until we realize we don't know everything.

Brother Ed has pointed out Revelation 20 as a reference to the 1000 reign of Christ on earth.
    {Revelation 5:10 is another.}
It is an extremely clear teaching of the Bible.

While it is true that it is too late for unbelievers to receive salvation if they wait until Christ's return,to say that anyone born in the Millenial Kingdom cannot be saved is nonsense.

In the Millinnial Reign of The Master: Jesus,
salvation will be like in the other ages:
by faith in God which we know is expressed
    in Jesus.

Now we're back on track. Those born during the millinial kingdom will have to make their choice just like all others. Those apposing this are either denying

    1. A Literal Millinial Kingdom, which is to deny or mis interpret Rev. 20

    2. Or they are ignoring the fact that there will be another judgment after that kingdom.

No one here is denying that only believers will enter the kingdom. The original question has to do with those born during the kingdom period.

And once again, THIS IS NOT A RAPTURE QUESTION.

Ohhhh, the egocentricity and elitism of the Left Behind Rapturist!

I'll let that one slide MountainRun. I have my days too where my ego gets ahead of me.

    Re: Millenial Salvation question?

There won't be anybody saved during the millenial because there isn't any earthly millenial reign of 1,000 years. The 1,000 years is symbolical! (2 Peter 3:8)

Since there is no millenial reign of a thousand years there has to only be one resurrection and one second coming.

Now, since there is no earthly kingdom, only one resurrection of the just and the unjust "ON THE SAME DAY," the separation of the unsaved goats from the saved sheep of which both are before the Lord at the same time, this whole question about being saved during the non-existant millinium is irrelevant!(per Luke 17:20-37)

I can't help it. I gotta say something.
When the Bible SAYS "this is the FIRST resurrection", what do you a-millenialists do with THAT? Can't have a first if it is the ONLY. Plain English tells you that IF you have a FIRST then by any sane persons mind, you gotta have at least a SECOND.

I'm sorry to be blunt, but a-millenialism is wacked!

And if there is no earthly kingdom, if it is spiritual, then is The rebelion of satan at the end of that spiritual reign only symbolic also? ( Rev. 20:7-10) If that is the case then maybe the second coming is symbolic, the resurection is symbolic, and we don't need to discuss any of this. How do you determine when you will interpret literal and symbolic? There is no verbal indication in these texts to cause us to interpret them that way. It seems we are arbitrarilly picking what is actual and what is spiritual. Give us some insight into why the 1000 Year reign in Rev. 20 is Symbolic Trailblazer.

Are you really not saying that you do not take the LITERAL WORDS OF CHRIST while on earth but prefer highly sympolic language of which 2,000 years of fixations on symbolism has produced volumes and volumes alone?

When you take Christ's words more seriously, I will take your question more seriously!

All Words in Scripture are those of Christ. I take nothing more seriously than the Scripture and it's accurate interpretation. I do not take the Gospel accounts to be any more authoritative than the words recorded in Rev. I have found no indication of the Millenial kingdom to be symbolic in the Scripture. We are now off topic and I would prefer to get back on, but if you have good reason to assume the millinial kingdom to be symbolic or spiritual based off the direct referrances to it in Scripture, give those reasons. Base it from the text please.

By not addressing the scriptures words of Christ directly then you cannot have an answer for them that fits into any Pre-mil doctrine and you simply are choosing a preferred symbolic interpretation over a literal/contextual interpretation which is both scripturally unsound and unethical at the same time.

If you are talking about interpriting the Words of Christ without corrilation to the rest of Scripture then that will get you only half the picture.
