Missing Verses

As far as I know, there are no missing verses in any modern translation which are not also missing in some Greek mss. Likewise, there are no added verses in translations which are not also added in some Greek mss. So the question remains not whether this or that translation adds/subtracts verses, but whether the mss that do so are right. To determine which readings are right, one must become a textual critic of the surviving documentary evidence. Sorry, but translations whose origin is later than most of the primary documentary evidence are of no value in the investigation.

Since the versions are infallible, not inerrant as the originals were, what is the "big deal" regardless if one uses kjv or a MV?

It's not really that big a deal, but if I could choose a translation 99 percent accurate vs. one 97 percent accurate, I would choose the more accurate one.

More accurate gets us back to the question of textual criticism, which few here, including myself, are qualified to engage in!
