Mission Home question

Our church inherited a house that we turned into a Missions House. Someday it will be a parsonage, but we're happy where we are at. But my question is, can the Mission House be tax exempt? I know if it is a parsonage, it is, but I don't see anything about a Mission House. I'm afraid we're going have to pay the taxes. Does your church have a Mission House and is it tax exempt?
Thanks for any help/advice,
Joe

Two churches in my county rent their parsonage out and don't pay taxes.not supposed to work that way though.
If you set it up as a short term shelter you probably could get by.
