Unfortunately we can't take credit for the reef ... it's not man made ... although some recon we are destroying it ...

And i did notice you mentioned some outside the centre of the universe,, actually non of them are Australian ... :D

Nope. Dikes are just 'walls' keeping water away from land, ordinary dikes can be found everywhere. The Delta Works include such weird stuff as "Neeltje Jans" basically a huge dam/doorway that can be closed to shield the mouth of Schelde river against storms.
Sounds as though I should go take a look-see.

Some time in my life, I want to travel to Indonesia to see the Borobudour (sp). Anyone else ever been there?
