No, doctrines can be in other places.

Modern versions ADDED them.
</font>
How do you know?

How many what?

</font>
I am not wrong. I have the lists available to post (and have in the past). You keep claiming this, but you NEVER provide the evidence. Post the list for examination, or stop repeating claims you can't back up.

Askjo: "If they omitted verses, they omitted the doctrines."

Uh, what scripture do you base that on?
Seems to me from my 50 years of studying the Bible that
God repeats the main doctrines over and over.

Nobody of any reputation worth mentioning bases their
doctrine on one and only one verse.

This is God's method of preserving His word: repeateing
the good stuff in other words.

Paul, for example, wrote 2 letters to 2 locations. Paul quoted same words to each location. If one letter to one location had one verse containing the doctrine, one verse in another letter to another location was removed then DO YOU THINK YOU MAKE PAUL HAPPY?

For an illustration: I wrote 2 letters to 2 locations. You as my secretary removed one SAME sentence from one of my 2 letters. I look at my 2 letters and notice one missing sentence. I would ask you "WHY did you remove it?" DO YOU THINK YOU MAKE ME HAPPY?
80,000? or 50,000? or 10,000? or 40,000?

5% = How many?
You go ahead to get Everett's book and read it by yourself.

DeafPostTrib,

I must say that your testimony really hit me right in the heart. That is GREAT!

Removing the second one would then be FIXING the text, making Paul happy. [IMG]

I'm not convinced you even have the capacity to be happy. [IMG]

</font>
How many what? Bananas? Gerbils? If you are asking about textual variations, I do not remember what the exact number is. I do remember the number of variations between the TR and the Majority Text is 1,838.

Why should I? Why should I believe his numbers when I've personally counted them myself? Have YOU personally counted anything? Or have you just AGAIN taken someone's word for it without verifying - believing men you've never met who have an obvious bias and axe to grind?

Can we say the ESV
is more holy and more spirited than the KJV1769?

My KJV is "Hole'ier" because its my mother's OLD Bible.

My ESV is "Spirited". I was working on the sound board at church, bent down to pick something up and it fell on my head. That's spirited. [IMG]

Ed, I'm beginning to think you have traded in your HCSB ever since you got that KJV1611.

Your going to be a TRUE KJV1611 only if you keep posting in KJV1611'ese. [IMG]

Wrong! Paul wrote more than 10 books in the New Testament. 2 of his books are WHAT I talked about.
You did not answer my question, "Why did you remove it?" I am not satisfied with your answer. I would sadly say to you, "You are FIRED!"
Right, but you said 5%. You quoted,
[IMG]
Why not? Everett lists verses and counted them. He totaled them. Save my time!

I think you're the only one who knows what you're talking about.

I didn't remove anything. Nor do I understand what you are talking about.

Right, but you said 5%. You quoted, I do not remember what the exact number is. </font>
And your point is.....? I don't remember "how many" 5% results in. If I find my notes, I'll let you know. Until then, try and figure out what point you are trying to establish.

Why not? Everett lists verses and counted them. He totaled them. Save my time!</font>
Save your time? Here's a time saver: stop posting claims you are unwilling/unable to back up.

Oh, come on natters, are you the only person in America who hasn't seen at least one show of "The Apprentice"? (Of course, if you were smart you probably only caught ONE show.) [IMG]

If Askjo wants to be Donald Trump for a day, why not!!?? :D
