Hindsight is always 20/20 right?

The Republican candidate for Montana’s congressional seat slammed a Guardian reporter to the floor on the eve of the state’s special election, breaking his glasses and shouting, “Get the hell out of here.”

Ben Jacobs, a Guardian political reporter, was asking Greg Gianforte, a tech millionaire running for the seat vacated by Ryan Zinke, about the Republican healthcare plan when the candidate allegedly “body-slammed” the reporter.

“He took me to the ground,” Jacobs said by phone from the back of an ambulance. “I think he wailed on me once or twice ... He got on me and I think he hit me ... This is the strangest thing that has ever happened to me in reporting on politics.”

Candidate in Montana beats up a reporter from a British newspaper. Probably earn him a bunch of votes tomorrow.

With the reporting here, and the population of this board being mostly headline grabbers and not really looking into anything, I don't expect much of anything smart to be said here. Funny thing with all those cameras and only audio of the incident has been released. I will wait for the investigation. But you have fun.

Pffft. Don't start a one sided "news" thread with a smarmy comment.

My news source says the guy was not suppose to be in there and he kept aggressively shoving a microphone in Greg's face.

The election is tomorrow. It's closer than it was at one point but I don't think this will have that big of an effect. It had been an absolutely disgusting campaign on the parts of both Gianforte, and Quist. I have no plans on voting for either one. But Gianforte very recently was 11 points ahead.

So he's guilty of assault.

If Sean Hannity was assaulted would you take Fox News' reporting on it as unbiased and objective?

I am LITERALLY taking a Fox News reporters eye witness account as one of the factors in calling it assault.

LOL

So to answer your question, yes. By the way, I have met Hannity. Nice guy, great political troll. He has made quite a bit of money for himself since leaving Huntsville, AL.

Huh ? The link I saw was The Guardian.

He was charged with a misdemeanor assault and allowed to walk away. Or drive, in this case. It will most likely be settled out of court.

I sure wouldn't.

Yes I understand how the legal system works and it is also obvious you didn't read the article I posted because it mentioned the Fox News reporter in it. ;)

Audio of Greg Gianforte attacking Ben Jacobs corroborated by Fox News journalists in the room, who described candidate ‘slamming him to the ground

Right there at the top of the article, which means you didn't even open it and assumed that because it was The Guardian it was biased and you were going to put your hands over your ears and scream LALALALALALALALA.

I sure wouldn't.

Really because you just commented on an article you never read! LOL

I read the entire Fox News article hours ago. And I read the entire Guardian article. You say he's guilty of assault. I say it never goes to trial.

You're final comment doesnt make any sense to me. I would not trust Fox News for an objective report on an assault on one of its reporters. How you come to make the comment you do is beyond me.

I'm also scouring the internet for video. I'm on the twitter feeds. Facebook and Facebook other social media. All those cameras. All those video phones. Someone's gotta have something....

Then I don't understand this comment. I took this comment as you not having read the link posted.

So what I got out of that is that you never read my link. What else did you mean by that? Were you accusing The Guardian about lying that Fox News journalists were there???

You say he's guilty of assault.

No, I said he assaulted him. He hasn't been found guilty. Based on the evidence I have read from people I feel comfortable saying he assaulted the reporter. The police also feel there is enough evidence to accuse him of this. Simple. If you want to give him the benefit of the doubt then put your GOP hat on and have at it as it is your right. When Anthony Wiener had his show for the world I did the same thing. You take the evidence you have and make your best judgement and go from there. I don't look at the world as left vs right like some of you here do.

I'm not going through this entire conversation and reexplaining myself.

However, the Billings Gazette has rescinded their endorsement. I do trust them so much more than the Guardian, OR Fox News.
