Moral debate now a public safety issue

Citizens in Gainesville, Florida, are trying to repeal an ordinance that lets anyone reject their biological sex simply by stating that they "feel like" a member of the opposite sex. At least one citizen argues that introduces some serious safety concerns for the public.

The city's anti-discrimination ordinance now includes "gender identity" as a protected class. It defines gender identity as "an inner sense of being a specific gender, or the expression of a gender identity by verbal statement, appearance, or mannerisms, or other gender-related characteristics of an individual with or without regard to the individual's designated sex at birth."

Cain Davis, chairman of Citizens for Good Public Policy, says the ordinance was not well thought out. "[A] man, for example, [can] walk into a women's restroom .... just by merely saying, 'I feel like a woman,' they can go into a women's restroom," he explains.

Just when you think idiocy has reached its limit, some yo-yo comes up with an idea like this.

Anyone who gets sexually excited at seeing another person sitting on the pot has deeper problems than can be rationally discussed by amateurs.
