She was Lazy. I "attempted" to fix my loader Friday. I ran into a problem I did not care to deal with so I took the lazy way out and put it off until today. I still don't want to deal with it so I am going to be lazy and put it off until tomorrow.
A baby is not a piece of Caterpillar equipment. You have to feed them, not "attempt" to feed them.
You're still not reading are you? They were not lazy: they tried to express their concerns to the hospital staff but they were dismissed and sent home.

Baby got to eat. Feed it. Don't attempt to feed it.
New first time mothers not being able to feed their babies is quite common: child fails to latch on, latches on but doesn't feed properly etc. Usually with a bit of help from the midwife or, in more traditional cultures, older female family members, this can be sorted. But she didn't have any older female relatives in this country and the midwives who should have helped her failed to.

Neither of my kids figured it out. Lactation specialist gave up. Both got the bottle.

They did not try hard enough. Ask my kids doctor how persuasive I can be.
Good for you. Not everyone is the same as you. You don't have a language barrier, an unfamiliar culture including not understanding how the healthcare system works, lack of confidence being a stranger in a strange land etc.

Try and show a bit of Christian empathy instead of blaming the victim. You never know, it might go all Romans 12:2 on you...

Exactly: you had a lactation specialist to advise and assist, as opposed to so-called rude professionals who didn't give a tinker's cuss and practically shoved the family out the door.

Victim? The kid was the victim of sorry parents. Is England really so bad now that parents are not even responsible enough to feed kids and expect doctors to do it instead?

The lactation specialist told us to "keep trying, the baby would figure it out." We had enough sense to feed our kid pumped milk and formula out of a bottle. Like my granny said, "my first two kids were born at home and they did fine."

Some people need help. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?

I understand your thinking. I do not agree with you. My kids are my ultimate Responsibility. Your kids are your responsibility. Her kids are her responsibility.
If she is smart enough to sue someone, she was smart enough to stick a bottle in the mouth of her baby.

It is becoming obvious to me why your empire was reduced to an Island.

And medical treatment of the child was the responsibility of the hospital, which the hospital failed to rise to, even when asked by the family for help.

She's not: that's why she engaged a lawyer.

Yes, well, unlike you, I don't subscribe to worldly standards like you as to what constitutes 'success'; my citizenship is in Heaven as per Phil 3:20, how about yours?

Smart enough to find a lawyer but not smart enough find a bottle? No standard of personal responsibility in your crumbled empire?

My ultimate home is Heaven/New Earth. I occupy here until that day.

Why are you so down on people asking for help? Particularly on a Christian discussion board?
Asking for help or asking for a huge chunk of money be given them due to their own laziness/stupidity?
I have not seen her on here asking for help. Did I miss it?

There you go again, blaming the victim. Not very Christian at all
The baby is the victim. The mother is the offender. For the record, I place no value on your assessment of my spiritual condition. You really don't care about my Spiritual condition any way, you simply throw the topic out as deflection. Quit deflecting.
