Bush isn't perfect, I admit that. Some of that spending was and still is nessecary with the war on terror. Some of it, I honestly could do without. But, honestly, that is not as big an issue with me this year. He has pulled us out of the Clinton / 9-11 reccession and will continue to do so. I trust his leadership. I don't fr Kerry. I don't trust Peroutka either.

George W. Bush is going to win Arkansas regardless of how I vote or how Joseph votes.

Hey, Joseph, I don't trust any of 'em any further than I can throw 'em. And no one else should, either.

Daniel is still under the illusion that there's an essential difference between the republicans and the democrats.

Daniel David states that he is from middle earth. No wonder he posts like a troll. Which, of course, is against the posting rules of the Baptist Board.

No, I was being sarcastic and suggesting that Bush is exaggerating about the nature of the coalition that he put together.

    Left Coast Liberal Talk...

The *only* good liberal is one who liberally applies God's Grace to others...

Political Liberals support the destruction of the very foundations of our society...

There is no slaughter, much less of 138,000 troops. Grammar isn't the point. The number is. 138,000 US troops will not be slaughtered in Iraq.

And don't forget that many Iraqi soldiers and police have died. Somehow, they always seem to get left out of the bodycounts.

We were not able to bring all those asked into the coalition. This is unfortunate but that does not lesson the significance of those who did join. Those who chose to join did so because they recognized that terrorism, and the tyranny that breads it, must be stopped and this was the right war, right time, and right place to take that stand. Those who chose not to do so must live with their choice. Their choice is not a failure on our part. Don't blame our leader for the failures of other nations.

America is blessed, and has been blessed since its founding, in many ways. We are fortunate to live in a land of relative peace, security, liberty, opportunity, and overall prosperity which was given us through the grace of God and paid for in blood by our ancestors. We are fortunate to have strong military capabilities. Not every country is able to contribute what we can. Never the less, every sacrifice is meaningful to the cause. We respect those contributions both large and small. We do not, and should not, take as trivial the contributions of our allies in the coalition. Our own nation was fortunate in its beginnings to have the help of others and we have not always been a world power.

The deaths of our own, and the coalition in general, should be treated with honor and respect recognizing that their lives were taken for a noble and just cause for the benefit of generations to come. Anything that discredits the cause also discredits their death. No American military member has died in vain in this war. They've all died doing what their country sent them to do for the benefit of the nation and beyond. Those now engaged do so ready to give all if it is necessary. That is what service - ultimate service - to the nation is about.

God bless our military members for their service. God protect them in it. God guide our leaders in the difficult decisions that must be made for them including sending them into harms way. God bring us to a clear knowledge and expression of the humble thanks we owe them and their families for the sacrifices they make. God lead our nation to use our might only in the cause of right. God give us the strength to perserve through the trying times of war and the wisdom and strength not to stumble and fall when the struggle is difficult or long, their are signs of trouble, or at the painful sight and knowledge of the horror that war brings.

Slaughter is what happened on 9-11. Slaughter is what Saddam did to his own people and the Kurds. While I want our men and women home as soon as possible, they are not over there being slaughtered, they are there fighting for us. Whether anyone thinks this is a good place for us to be, we must be careful not to leave the impression that we don't appreciate what our troops are doing.

Today at Arizona State University a bunch of liberal students staged a "die in". They have no clue. I am one who proudly served and was and am willing to sacrifice for a higher purpose.

God bless you Bro. Tony for your service to our nation and for you comments here!

We had the liberal college war protesters in my day as well staging their various events which were essentially nothing more than excuses to party and rebel. They were ignorant of the truth and void of any sense of duty, honor, or country. Meanwhile, others went and did what their nation needed.

Conservatives are also pretty unhappy with Bush. It seems that the only ones who are behind him are there due to party loyalty more than anything else; it certainly can't be because of conservative policies, because he has few if any.
