True or False: We can't destroy the world because God said HE will do it, and it has to be habitable when he does it.

True, However if God were to let us we would destroy ourselves. There is just no way that we could destroy the world.

True. After all, God is sovereign. However, that is no reason or excuse to misuse God's creation. It sounds to me similar to saying, "The time of my death is in God's hands, so I don't need to worry about taking risks. I'll walk in front of speeding cars, drink poison, and jump out of a plane without a parachute."

Scripture only mentions one of those that we can do-- drink poison, in those controversial final verses of the book of Mark.

Yes, but what I meant was that we don't deliberately do such things.

Habitable doesn't mean it would be a place you would want to inhabit. Just that it would sustain life.

I think Christians should care more about the earth. Many Christians believe the world is going to be destroyed soon anyway and they will avoid it by being raptured out of here. But they are forgetting one very important detail: The nations raged and Thy wrath has been realized; also the time for the judging of the dead and for the rewarding of Thy bond servants the prophets and the saints - in fact, all those who revere Thy name both small and great; ALSO FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THOSE WHO ARE DESTROYING THE EARTH. Revelation 11:18 Modern Language Bible.

One group singled out for destruction are those who destroy the earth. We should care about what happens to be environment.

God wants people to have dominion over the earth, not destroy it! :godisgood:
