It means that I think you're trying to paint people who follow the Biblical mandates of personal responsibility, free markets & investing, small government, punishment for crime, voluntary charitable giving, modesty in dress, respect for life, and the folks who feel that studying the Bible has convinced them to be anti-abortion, anti-welfare, anti-gay rights, and anti-gun laws as idiots.
In short, people who trust God more than their own eyes & ears. Kinda like Bill Maher tries to.

The second gut feeling..... was the same as when I first heard Obama's statement ..... which the article also included...... and that was the gut feeling he was introducing race..... not merely face into the campaign in a cleverly subtle way. After all, the logic follows, if he "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills." then neither does any other current candidate as most of the 'faces' on our coinage/paper bills are those of founding fathers and all are deceased: Therefore, he was drawing a directly subtle attention to race. Obviously, if he is campaigning on his racial difference, (though he IS half white), then he has created the unequal ground on which few others can follow. What a hypocrit!
However cleverly Obama disquised and introduced racial overtones: This latter depiction by a local womens Republican club is in the poorest taste and dispicable!
It combines a series of sterotypical beliefs regarding a race with the food preferences, economics, and the politics often attributed to a race as though these are exceptional characteristics.

Not that it's a problem since I believe the Bible is a living book that speaks individually to the heart of the believer. There are some messages in the book that was not intended for me just as I am sure it has given me messages that was not meant for you... :thumbs:

Republican leaders are losing the diversity war
What little inroads that Republican leadership has made in the way of diversity, they just take two steps back with this, even minorities within the Republican group were appalled and hurt by this, they may just up an bolt, which means othes are thinking the same thing.
With Latinos and Blacks now even more powerful in elections this hurts the Republicans.
I look forward to a President Obama following the lead of President Reagan in showing kindness and consideration to those who work hard here.

God commands good stewardship of his gifts. Good stewards would protect them. That's what our fore fathers believed. Seems like every city that has banned handguns is a haven for gangbangers, and citizens are given second priority. Is that how it was in O/T Israel ? Did the rule of law break down because criminals were given more rights than victims ?
