Telling the truth comes across as mean to someone who is trying to evade the truth.

Okay, BB. It get it. But you do often call others out for their pride. You seem to be unwilling to admit your words were uncalled for, especially since I was speaking about the long talks about freeing the hostages that have been going on for at least a week. But if you feel the insults were necessary, you can work that out with God.

I don't think that's accurate. One person in this thread mentioned that he was wrong, even if it were proved that he had jumped to false conclusions. He brought up pride as his justification. I referenced the scripture warning of pride. I mostly call people out for false personal attacks and general falsehoods. I believe in the reality of objective truth and the ability of humankind to determine what is true. That, at least in a practical sense, is quite unpopular these days.

You seem to be unwilling to admit your words were uncalled for, especially since I was speaking about the long talks about freeing the hostages that have been going on for at least a week.
Your assertion was that "Kimmel's been really quite about this lately."

Since there had only been a few hours since the release of the prisoners, your word "lately" seemed like a ridiculous statement to make. As evidence that I did not misinterpret you, you later clarified that "lately", to you, meant "several weeks."

I've only watched bits and pieces of Kimmel's show over the years, but I know that it is primarily a comedy/talk show, not a news show, although news and politics has been a focus of late night talk shows over the past few years. It seems quite unreasonable for a talk show to pull out what has been a very minor news item until Giuliani prematurely announced the release of the prisoners a week before it happened.

But if you feel the insults were necessary, you can work that out with God.
You are incredibly thin-skinned to take someone applying logic and facts to your assertions as insults. You play the victim, but I don't think anyone buys your performance.

Why is Jimmy Kimmel's opinion about anything considered noteworthy? Not only is he only an entertainer, but his show is in 3rd place in the ratings.

Is he third? LOL! Good, but he's not as annoying as Colbert (or however you say his name).

But I'm with you. I'd love to drop this.

CNN Attacks Trump As He Greets Freed American Detainees, Pushes Conspiracy Theory

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump greeted three American citizens who were freed from detainment in North Korea in a historic moment that was a win for the Trump administration.

CNN had a radically different take on the event.

As cameras waited for the three detainees to arrive at Andrews Air Force Base, CNN suggested that Trump made the event happen because he wanted to use it as a campaign ad, NewsBusters reported.

"Well, this is Donald Trump as a... TV moment for him," former Bill Clinton adviser Philip Yun said on the network. "If nothing else, he knows how to get publicity, how to a bleed a lot of drama."

NBC's Hallie Jackson Rips Trump Greeting Detainees As 'Choreographed' and 'Staged Production’

On Thursday, NBC News reporter Hallie Jackson, consistent with her network’s refusal to paint President Trump in a positive light, attempted to minimize the accomplishment of the Trump Administration in rescuing three American detainees from the brutal, despotic North Korean regime, terming President Trump’s greeting when they landed in America as “carefully choreographed,” and a “staged production meant for television” from a "former reality show producer.

President Trump plays CNN like the proverbial fiddle.

The more they attack him as a man, the more his base grows and the more his popularity is going to become a wildfire out of the marxist press control.

Unless the DNC changes their "Attack Trump" strategy they are doomed.

Where are the Roosevelt's, Trumans, Adlai Stevensons, JFKs!?

Here's a word I rarely use:

IDIOTS!

You and the Daily Wire have a very different definition of "attack" than I do.

The commentators simply talk about how President Trump is quite good at creating these moments of drama. All Presidents do it, but now in the social media age, President Trump has mastered it and uses it to his advantage. And he does have a history of using these events to advertise his Presidency and candidacy.

Perhaps you believe that they should not have mentioned all of the other news swirling around the Trump Administration, but they are simply making the point that the President is making good use of this victory.]

Well you are welcome to join in the attack and put as much a negative spin in this great moment. Its your right to be both contrary and wrong.

No, I did not. I did a search for his comments and posted what I found. It didn't sound like a rant to me. Can you give me at link to what you are referring to?

well it was irresponsible. We got rocketman coming to the table now is not the time to poke a finger in his eye. It seems Schumer wantts to undermine all of this. He got off to a great start.

I have given President Trump credit for his instincts in the use of social media for a very long time. I disagree with much of the message he sends out, but I don't think that anyone who knows anything about media disputes that he knows how to connect with his base.

And for the record, I do think it is a definite win for the Trump Administration unless he or others have done something colossally stupid (and I don't think they have), so he should get credit. I believe you are finding attacks where there are none.
