There has been a fuss about Mormon doctrine. Specifically, a question was asked if Mormons believe that Jesus is the brother of the Devil. Does anybody know the official Mormon view of this doctrine?

thanks

Yes , in official circles they affirm that Jesus is the ( an ) elder brother of Lucifer . But talk about waffling ! To get a Mormon pinned-down on this is exasperating . Even those in higher levels equivocate on the matter .
I like James White's books on Mormonism such as :"Is The Mormon My Brother" which I have recently borrowed from a friend , and "Letters to a Mormon Elder" . The former book doesn't deal with the issue and I can't recall if the second one does . But both are good overviews of LDS theology .

Do we believe "Gabriel is brother to the devil"??

Usually the claim that Lucifer was a Holy Angel of similar rank as Gabriel does not result in "Gabriel brother of the devil" statements.
