Most Americans see country on wrong track

most voters (59%) still say the nation is heading down the wrong track, up four points from last week and the highest level found on the question since mid-March. But that number is down 13 points from the week of the presidential election and down four points from the week Obama became president.

Any person with at least a half brain sees Obama is ruining America.

Only the looney left will support him.

America has been on the wrong track since JFK was killed and LBJ lied our way into an increased VietNam War.

Buyer's remorse will play a big role in the 2010 midterm elections. A lot of Democrats in the House and Senate will pay for Obama's policies when they lose their seats.

The U.S. is like a huge ocean going vessel. It takes a while to change its direction from the horrible policies of the Bush administration.

President Obama has only been in office for less than 5 months. President Bush had 8 years to mess things up so badly that it will take at least 8 years to fix things.

It will take more turning for President Obama to straighten out all of Bush's mistakes.

Well, Pastor Mitchell, so far the Republicans don't look like they have a candidate who can defeat President Obama in 2012. You can't be somebody with nobody.

You seem to think that it's a given that Obama would be viable in 2012. I think he'll be dead in the water by that time. The country will crave a real conservative -- not a John McCain-type. By that time (and we've seen enough in just 5 months) the nation will be yearning for anyone but an extreme liberal. Nancy and Harry won't make it till 2012 either, by the way.

What's it like whistling past that conservative graveyard, Rippon? I hope you at least enjoying the tune.

Goldwater/Reagan-type conservatism is finished in the 21st century. That ideological souffle will not rise again.

I would advise you to read Joe Scarborough's new book for a 21st century realistic conservatism.

Unless you conservies admit the truth you will never taste national power again.

Most Americans DO think the country is on the wrong track...which is why we overwhelmingly voted to change the leadership to turn around this misguided ship of state.

KenH, who knows nothing about the Conservative philosophy, [I took the trouble to enlighten you Ken but some things are impossible.] has inadvertently revealed what the democrats are all about, POWER! POWER over the lives of the citizens just like the czars of Russia, the kings of old Europe, the Caesars of Rome, the living gods of Egypt. And now Evan Thomas says we have one in "bo". Right KenH?:tongue3::laugh::thumbs:

Similar statements were made about Democrats after the '04 election. Those statements were as short-sighted then as yours are now.

Wrong track or not, at least we are no longer on the disasterous track we were on from 2000 to 2008.

Let's hope the policies followed in those years did not push us over the brink from which there is no recovery.
