Actually you are the one making the claim, burden of proof is on you Your the one who believes it isn't necessary. I've already proved that it is. with scripture.

You proved that belief in God is all that is necessary for salvation from Scripture? What post proved that?

Not because they love darkness, they love darkness because they are condemned

Remember God is light

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Had light just come into the world?

Did Adam love the above light or the darkness?

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Darkness existed before light

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Was there light on the earth at that time?

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

No,, light was created much later than the universe
Satan and the others were sent here in darkness
Then much later light was created

The question remains,

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen 1:3-5

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Did Adam walk in the Light or the Darkness of Gen 1:3-5? Witch did he love?

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

I will let all of you decide when those works began. IMHO they began before God said, Let there be light. Before God said, Out of darkness light to shine,
