Mrs. Salty took a very nasty fall. She broke her right leg in three places.

She had an initial operation to begin the healing. However, the swelling was too
much to perform the second phrase of her operation.

I will be taking her to the doctors next Tuesday and we trust that the operation
can proceed next week. It is tentatively scheduled for next Friday.

HOWEVER - next Wed, I will be in the hospital for a procedure to implant a Di-Fibber.
Then I will not be able to drive for a week.

Right now, I am trying to obtain some assistance from one of our association churches to
provide transportation.

Will keep you posted.

Salty,
Sit her down, remember we do not need to scream, there are not fifty full auto weapons firing in both directions and gently laugh, but be careful, not to much, and remind her how stinkin, old we are. Then remind her that we did all of the stupid tricks in the Nam. And promise her she has already began to be lifted up to our Glorious YHW#H and His Son, Yashuah ha'Mashiah.

Oh, by the way, I don't recall if I posted it here or not but I wrote a book and it is in Historical Fiction for several reasons. I did a lot i Nam I would not want reveale4d and I did not do all the things attributed to Bill, the central character and many days we had no idea of which 19 year olds, with a Death Wish/Superman Complex would scare the manure out of us by landing Ammo in the middle of a Major Firefight.

One truth though is that I played my part in every one of the actions I list in the book. I cleaned it up a lot by leaving people like Skull Crusher where they belong, in the distant past that still insists on visiting me in nightmares. Strange what we considered normal, back then. Ad today f ( could, I would n ot link names to actions that was then and then people did not really love us much. The book is A Young Man; s Journey To War, subtitled, The Real Vietnam. Following is the link and it is priced to sell at 3 dollars for the Computer File and 12 for the book copy. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_...s&field-keywords=A+young+man's+journey+to+war

Praying.

Took her to the doctors today - the swelling in her leg has subsided enough for phase 2 of her operation. This will happen on Friday. But here is the hitch - Tomorrow morning (Wed) I will be admitted to the VA for a procedure (in planting a defib). I will be staying overnight - moreso for observation. Scheduled to go home on Thurs. So this means that Julie will not be able to be with me at the VA - and since I will not be allowed to drive - and minor recovering - I will not be able to be there for Julie on Friday.
A pastor of a sister church will be taking me home. Hopefully, he can be at the hospital on Friday.

We covet your prayers

She has been transferred from the hospital to rehab (which is located in the hospital) Her PT has been improving. Right now one of the biggest concerns is the swelling in her leg. If all goes well - she should be comming home next Thursday.

Now Mrs. Salty is insisting that the house be properly clean and inexcellent shape. If not, I'm liable to be in the hospital.:Barefoot

I'm happy to hear Mrs. Salty is coming home.

Now about the house being presentable when she gets there, as my Mother would say... Well then Mr. Salty, hop to it, it's not going to clean itself!... Brother Glen:)

That's great to hear. My better half went to Corpus to fondle our great grandson who is past the six month mark now and has reported she was leaving Bucky's to be home about 2 and I'm happy, also.

Mrs. Salty came home yesterday - Last Fri she had a 6 hour operation! Then went to rehab and now home
Still lots of pain in her leg - but there has been much improvement. A home health aid will be coming twice a week.

For the first time in three months, Mrs Salty has went to the grocery store!
That's good to hear! So important to get back to one's normal ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) and to keep moving. Be sure to keep the Mrs safe from falling again as she continues to improve strength, balance and endurance. Prayers...

Update - Mrs. Salty went to the doctor today. He is very pleased with her progressed.
He told her it is ok to start walking on the bad foot. But she isn't supposed to put too
much weight on it yet. Next week, she will start physical therapy to strengthen that leg.
Hopefully by Jan, she will back to work
