This one made me chuckle -- although I do know you didn't mean it for that purpose.

    ----------------------------

The fact of the matter is that many people have aligned themselves with Christianity or a particular church for ulterior motives. Members of the Nazi regime were no more Christians than I am an angel (literally or figuratively).

I cannot help but think that there were some who truly believed in Jesus that got caught up in this horrible movement. We are after all sinners saved by grace. I also take comfort that there were many more believers who risked their lives, went to concentration camps, helped their neighbors, and died -- to help their neighbors and countrymen in the name of Christ.

Can a Christian call an anti-christ a Christian?

You continue to claim that hitler's Germany was Christian.

Are you a Christian? Is Jesus Christ your Lord? Is He God?

Do you believe the Truth that there is no way to the Father but through Jesus Christ?

Let's see the Pope has the audacity to say that Islam is a violent religion. To prove him wrong the muslims fire bomb several churches in the gaza and west bank. Then the Pope apoligizes because of the violent reaction and recants his statement that those who just used violence are not really violent after all:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

woohoo, this's gotta be the quote of the year!! :applause:

n now the Infallible Pope has apologised (infallibly? neah), everything shd be back to status quo antebellum: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060917/ts_nm/pope_islam_dc_13

sadly, it may be too little (indeed) too late: in Hatyai, Thailand, several bombs have gone off, w devastating results ...

but look more closely at what B16 said: "...I am deeply sorry for the reactions in some countries to a few passages of my address at the University of Regensburg, which were considered offensive to the sensibility of Muslims," he told pilgrims at his Castelgandolfo summer residence.

Pot: I'm so sorry that parts of you are upset that I said you're black!

what a difference fr Psalm 51 ... talk abt contrition for one's sins! well, i'd like to apologise deeply n abjectly to everyone in the world for their pathetic reactions to my infallible speeches, too! :tongue3:

is true stance, quoth he, is that of the ecumenical Vatican 2.
anyways, several Muslim leaders have bought into that, n hey, if things subside, that's goodenuff for me, for now! :tonofbricks:

Then they need to take it up with the author.

Or the could just get over it.

I wonder how many muslims will die because they can't stand criticism even when it's several hundred years old.

They're behaviour over this is so radical , it's almost comical. I'd put a child in time out that acted like this.

IMHO. More like, handcuff the murderers together to a truck bomb . . . and let justice be served.

They really do need to get leaders that do not incite riots and violence. And they really do need to learn how not to hate and kill each other and foreigners.

The Muslim leaders are still not satisfied. They want the Pope to actually say he made a mistake and that he was wrong. They will never get that response because the Pope is not going to deny his "infallability." If that insurgent group is stupid enough to launch an attack on the Vatican, they will have one billion Catholics up in arms. They will give the insurgents a Jihad they will never forget.

Let's not run too far with the "infallible" sarcasm. Remember that the Roman Catholic Church puts strong boundaries on infallibility. They say that the Pope speaks infallibly only when dealing with matters of faith and morals AND when he declares himself to be speaking ex cathedra. I believe it has been invoked very, very rarely.

Of course it is still an incomprehensible and, I think, arrogant doctrine. But they do not claim it for every opinion or utterance of the bishop of Rome.
