My First Sermon

    It likely seems like a big thing now but trust me it is not!
    I can imagine years from now when you're telling your grandchildren about your first sermon and saying, 'You will never believe what happened to me when I started up to the pulpit.'
    It will only make it more memorable! Finally along the road we learn what the really important things are and I'm sure they heard that testimony you gave and thanked the Lord for it and for you!

    You call sermon preparation busy work . . . and sermon manuscripts are just to occupy nervous moments. . .

    Sooooooo you do not have an endvision from God before you preach . . . Sooooo you do not know where you are trying to lead God's people (your sheep)?

    No endpoint . . . no preparation (beginning) . . . no sermon (road map) . . . mmmm .... and they call you a philibuster?

    Do you think that they might be politely asking you to improve your preparation and delivery of God's Word?

    ==My, it sounds like you went through alot to deliever your message. I think it is great that you kept going even when everything around you was falling apart. Don't feel bad though. I know men who have been preaching for years and in the middle of a sermon, or a few minutes into it, have to start over because they lost their train of thought. I know singers who have, literally, forgotten the words on stage. Even first time preachers who were given 35 minutes to preach and finished their sermon in 15 mintues, or went on for an hour. I am sure you did just fine. God bless you for your hard work and perseverence...:godisgood:
