My Journey

I have been on a long journey. I have walked through the valley and I think I am coming through it. I had a lacunar stroke in January of 2017,but this wasn't confirmed until August 2018, when I was diagnosed with stage 4b Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. By God's grace I have come through 2 different types of chemotherapy and more recently 2 different types of intensive radiotherapy. This past week my haematologist told me that my blood tests are in normal range. I know I still have a long way to go.

I just wanted to share here in the hope I can encourage someone else as I have had so many people praying for me and so many of my prayers have been answered. I said when I found out about my diagnosis that God will be glorified. It is a tough journey and my thoughts and prayers are with others who are on a similar journey.

Yes, similar journey, had a thalamus stroke in January of 2016 followed by 2 heart failures then a cardiac thrombosis.

My cardiologist said to me "I am amazed that you are here, able to walk into my office and talk to me".
Doctors are usually not so candid.

Thank you for the encouragement.

Praying for you.

I now have a praise report.
I saw my oncologist this past Wednesday and my PET scan has come back clear ! No tumours ! My blood tests show that my LDH levels are down o 365. At diagnosis last August they were 1880 and went up to over 2000 ! I do have a small spot on my lung but the consultants at the MDT meeting are sure this is due to a chest infection and I am now taking a course of antibiotics and will have another scan in 3 months.
I hope this news will be an encouragement to others who find themselves walking through the valley.

God bless you as praise the Lord. Praying that the spot on your chest goes away asap. God is awesome. He is the Great Healer and Physician. Praise the Lord!
