And it will be my 38th! Maybe we should have our birthday parities on the BB.

Adam how could you confuse BB and BBB? After all I'm the good looking one. ;)

Seriously Adam from everything I have seen of you and Teresa is that if anyone is ever prepared for marriage you two are. Jeanne and I got engaged after having dated for a month. we had known each other casually for about a year, but were really not much more than aquaintences. We have now been married for 12 years and I love that woman more and more every day. I guess my point is that you and Teresa know if you are ready or not, and must do what God is leading you to do.

I've heard that once, Socrates was asked if a man should marry and he said:
By all means, If you marry a good wife you can be thankful and if you marry a bad wife you can become a philosopher.

Oh quit whining... complain, complain, complain.

People will always disagree with you...that's life...not age.

Maybe some day you won't worry about what other people think enough to give it a second thought...but then you'll be in the catagory that irks you now...Ha Ha!

    In Christ,
    Your Friendly Neighborhood Wisdom Seeker

P.S. Don't hate me because I'm older than you...BwaaaaHaaaaaHaaaa!!! [IMG]

My mother finally approved of my choice of husbands after I was 60 years old [IMG]

AS you know, my first two husbands are deceased.
My mother did not want to me to get married either time. But for some reason, she approved of Ed. Maybe because he is so wonderful!. [IMG]

    Opps, off the subject.

But I will say that she loved first and second husband dearly after we married.

I think many times it is just that mothers care for their children and want them to be happy. They don't want them to make a mistake.

 I don't understand the statement that satan must be influencing you.

Maybe she knows how you want to follow God's Will and this is her way to get your attention.

I don't think that she's all there, truthfully. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a disorder that was never diagnosed...
She was a very slow learner, and still struggles in acedemic areas, but she does love!

I've been told that I'm more mature than my mom, but I love her anyways...I wouldn't be surprised if she said that because she didn't know how to say what she wanted to.

Some people in this world just can't mind their own business. Parents more than anyone. ;)

And many people use the "I'm older than you," bit because they can't think of any other reason. For some reason they think "I'm older than you" means "I know better than you." That may or may not be true, as I'm sure we all know.

I think many is us can tell, generally, when someone is concerned for our welfare and when they want to just have control over what we do.

But we also need to remember that, as annoyed as we may get when someone disagrees with us for what we think are disingenuous reasons, we need to be less quick to dismiss them. Sometimes we can get so caught up in our own feelings and thoughts that we jump to the defensive and ignore what counsel others may give us, because we don't want to hear anything else.

I don't know if that's what's going on with yours situation (doesn't sound like it), but it's just something to think about. I'm guilty of doing it myself - ask for advice and then get all defensive because I don't like the counsel I've been given. I think we all tend to do it, at least every now and then.

But that's why we sometimes just rant (and call it a rant) without asking for advice!
