Here's his testimony. It gets read to the congregation just before the baptismee gets dunked. :) We didn't tell him what to write - he wrote it himself.

How I came to faith in Christ:

A few years ago we saw the movie “Narnia.” After we got home I asked my Dad “Why did Aslan have to die?” He explained why, and then told me how Jesus died on the Cross for our sins. I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and come into my life. Since then I understand more about God through Promise Land and Bible Memory Verses.

Why I am being baptized:

Jesus told us to be baptized because it shows everybody that I’m a follower of Jesus. I want to do what Jesus tells me to do in the Bible.

That is very nice. What is Promise Land if I may ask?

That is great, and I iiked his testimony. I've heard of children accepting Christ as young as 4, although it's difficult to imagine someone that young really understanding. Of course, it depends on how the child is raised. A child raised in a Christian home and hearing the gospel regularly will realize their need for a Saviour a lot earlier than one raised in an atheist home.

My son just turned 4 and really is starting to understand the concept of sin, Christ's sacrifice and how He took our punishment. I even heard him praying to Jesus asking Him to forgive him of his sins one day. I believe he is very close...he has a real desire for me to read him the Bible as well. It's all coming together in God's time, and I can't wait for the day that I can post my pic as Ann did!

I have to say - Children awakening to know Jesus gives me chills. That is so wonderful about your son!!

Each one of my children came to us to ask us about Jesus. We didn't push. We just told them biblical truth from day one and prayed for them daily. :)

Now if my son would just do his math work...... LOL

A pastor one time was telling someone, "We had two and a half people come to the Lord Sunday." The man he was speaking to said, "Oh? Two adults and one child?" The pastor replied, "No, two children and one adult. The children's lives are just starting. The adult's life is half over."
