I joined the BB in 2005. Things have changed a lot since then! But I value the friendship of some of you that I only know here.

When I joined the BB I had never heard of preterism. At some point I ran into the preterists here and learned that, even if I did believe in allegorical interpretation, the arguments for preterism, especially full preterism, are pretty tough to defend. I researched it a lot, interacted a lot, and now I can lecture against it from real life. :Biggrin

What views have you had that have changed due to the discussion here on Baptist Board?

Could be political
Could be Doctrine
Could be denomination
could it be any other issue

On the other hand
have any of your views been strengthen because of the discussion here on BB?
Nothing. As a professor of mine once said speaking of himself; "My mind is like cured concrete, well mixed and thoroughly set.".

One of those block heads, huh?

I knew a few of those, but the bad ones were empty headed.

My views have changed on conditional election. Much of this is from reading @Revmitchell posts on the topic as they made me study specifically on the topic. I realized two things. 1. Scripture never speaks of a person who is not saved being elected to be saved, and 2. Most often Scripture speaks of the elect corporately ("numbered among the elect", "to the elect in....", etc).
