We grilled out for a family & friends get together. I was elected to be the head cook. A title I thought that would get some respect. I soon found out that it meant standing out in the heat all day to "watch" the meat. I grilled for almost 4 hours as there were several waves of eaters coming and going. I did'nt get to fellowship or see anyone other than the "plate lady."

I spent my Memorial Day BBQ trying to rescue my dog from my friend's Rott.

Went to the hospital to see a friend. The nurse said I would have to wait, that he was being bathed. I was wearing my uniform from work. It looked much like the uniforms wore by the hospital employees.

Several people spoke to me. I cordially spoke back. One doctor asked me what I was doing. I told him I wasn't doing a thing. A nurse came by and asked me if I was just going to sit there all night. I told her I hoped to go home early cause I was tired. A lady in a business suit approached me and asked me to follower her. I wasn't doing anything, so I went. She led me into an office and said that they did not need me anymore and that tonight was my last night. I said fine, I didn't really want to come here in the first place.

I was mistaken once for someone who had the same name as mine. I went into a fast food place and wrote a check. The lady at the cash register said she would have to ok it with her manager. Next thing I know the manager is in my face screaming with her finger in my face telling me that my check was no good and I knew it. The place was pretty well crowded too. When she found out that I wasn't the women that had been writeing bad checks, all she did was say she was sorry for the mix-up. I should have at least gotten my order free.

On a better note, we had church service in one of the church members home tonight. The family has been going through alot of health problems and unable to attend church. The man has had a stroke and it has effected his left side. The women is trying to take care of her husband with bad knees. We asked them if they would like us to come have church with them and they where so happy to have us. It was wonderful! You could really feel the spirit of the Lord in the meeting.

After my first try at fishing in over 15 years, I am ready to try again! I have several other grandsons who want to go and I'm not silly enough to take more than two at a time!

I went deep sea fishing with some friends. I had been one time before several years ago. This was their first trip. Having been before I knew a few things about baiting and hooking. They all looked to me to show them the ropes. Many were fishing from the sides of the boat. One man asked me to show him how to cast. During my demonstration, I hooked the captain's britches with my hook. With much force, I was able to rip a hole in his pants. Even though he was the captain they gave me a new nickname.

The biggest problem I had when I took my grandson fishing was getting the smell of the 'stink bait' off of my hands. I finally found something that worked! Toothpaste!

I refuse to brush my teeth as a kid. Today I don't have any. Sure wish I had listened to my parents about the importance of brushing. Sho is hard gumming a steak.

I don't like to go to the dentist either. I had a bad one when I was a child and the experience has stayed with me.
