The UK more so than all the EU has fallen into the trap of trying to be careful not to offend anyone. Well except for Christians.

We see the same thing here in Canada. We actually had one of the liberal cabinet members say that the bible contains hate speech. He sees it as hateful to point out what the bible says re abortion, same sex relations etc.

Unfortunately the way of Canada is the way of the US. You see the permissive society on full display and your democrats as our liberals are pushing it full steam.

The problem that I see here in Canada is that all the political parties are pandering to the groups that do not hold to our Christian values. While your democrats are open about their support for them the republicans will do just the same in order to gain their votes.

As I see it we Christians are to support each other as the world grows darker.

I read a HR article about micro-agressions a few weeks ago. Don't know why, althea topic just peaked my interest.

Did you know thar a Christian who celebrates only Christian holidays, refuses to celebrate Muslim holidays, is being racist?

The pulled Converse ad also comes to mind (the star hitting the lady's dress looks like a kkk hood and she is holding a pair of Converse shoes which represents a lynched man...supposedly). Crazy world.

I lived in Germany in the 90's. They are a very immoral culture (not so much people looking to be offended, or wasnt back then, but I was shocked at the moral state of the nation. The country was beautiful, though.


Canada has the same problem as the US. BUT it is reflective of the people. Politicians would not pander to these anti-Christian groups if they did not get them elected. And if they did not represent the people they would not get them elected.

Yea...I can see Converse apologizing if anyone was offended and pulling the ad, but it was stupid. So was the creepy target Halloween costume ad.

So many today look to be offended. And the left feeds it (actually creates it) because it is political capital.

I tend to agree about your comment on elections. That is why you do not see many liberals elected in Alberta. We tend to be more conservative out here. Although you will see some NDP [liberal lite] elected in some areas.

The election map shows Liberals in red and Conservatives in dark blue.

It is our cities that are the most liberal. I think it is politics (these are the battlegrounds for politicians because of the population).

We live in a lost world. People look for meaning, for belonging, for purpose. Without Christ (or a Christian with divided loyalties) people become targets for politicians and causes.

This sense of victimization was created by politicians for political gain, for power. People are oppressed and this political party will change that, will fight the oppression, and will make a better world.

Unless Maduro's compound was outside Venezuela, which it was not, then the US did invade Venezuela.

No, Maduro invited Trump to “come get me”. DT accepted his invitation to come into his country and get him.

There is no way to consider the acceptance of an invitation by the leader of a foreign country to enter his country as being illegal.
