1) Martial Law won't be far behind.

2) You all only think there's going to be a 2010 election.

1)I doubt that.

2) We had elections during World War I and World War II, even during the War Between The States.

1.) I don't doubt it.

2.) Every national election since JFK has been a sham.

3.) "It is the sacred principles enshrined in he United Nations Charter to which the American people will henceforth pledge their allegiance" G. H. W. Bush.

I would say every one since Grover Cleveland left office. However, they were still held.

Yes but purely for entertainment and distraction purposes. The global elite choose two candidates, one on this side and one on that then let us pick one. We (American people) lose, they gain . . . every time.

Martial Law is a long way off. The President issued the emergency declaration to help hospitals and emergency agencies, it is not a plot to rule the country via martial law. Those who think it is need to turn off Glen Beck and turn on their brains.

Sorry about the last line, I just could not resist.

Glad to know somebody has the inside info on the "0"s motives.

All most of us can do is judge by his actions, and czar appointments; although there are quite a few who still believe every word that proceeds out of his mouth.

Incidentally, martial law is just one crisis away - and if he can make the swine flu it , rest assured he will!

All most of us can do is judge by his actions,

==I am judging him by his actions. The reason these type emergencies are declared is to clear the way for federal aid (etc).

czar appointments;

==The czars are unconstitutional. However President Obama is not the first to appoint a large number of czars. President Obama is just the latest in a long list of American Presidents who care nothing about the limits of the United States Constitution. These presidents, who include Bush (sr), Bush (W), and Clinton, along with the Congress, have not yet seen a power grab they did not like. Most of these "conservatives" who are fussing about President Obama were strangly silent when President George W Bush was growing the size and power of the federal government by leaps and bounds. A few of us, however, were not silent. We spoke out then and we speak out now. We have an advantage, in this debate, over the many so-called "conservatives" who were happy with Republican big government. The advantage? We are consistant. I don't like Republican big government, conservative big government, Democratic big government, or liberal big government. In other words, I don't like big government regardless of who sits in the Oval Office.

although there are quite a few who still believe every word that proceeds out of his mouth.

==President Obama is a politician. Therefore I believe very little that comes out of his mouth. I tend to be rather cynical when it comes to politicians.

The emergency status, however, is simply a way to clear the way for federal help. I imagine any sitting president, under the same circumstances, would take the same action. It is not anything close to martial law.

Incidentally, martial law is just one crisis away - and if he can make the swine flu it , rest assured he will!

==That is very similar to what Republicans said about Clinton and what Democrats said about Bush (W). In other words, recent history shows us that the out of power party tends to view the party in power with a great deal of suspicion. Not just recent history though, this type of suspicion goes all the way back to the arguments between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. Nothing new.

From what I've been reading, one thing that this will allow is the government's assistance to still pay for flu treatment when the treatment center is more than 200 or 300 feet away from a hospital. Like if they need to set up a school as an auxilliary hospital for the less ill patients, they can do that without worry that they will not get the federal aid. Many hospitals are setting up tents in their parking lots to handle the extra visitors to the hospital with the flu and if these tents are more than 200 or 300 feet from the hospital, the government will not guarantee payment.

. . . the Ostrich Brigade replied.

It will go like this. "We must take extraordinary measures to deal with this extraordinary epidemic . . ."

We're in the warm up stage for martial law. First the people will have to be properly conditioned to accept active military troops on the streets as "normal", then foreign troops.

This has been going on for awhile now. We already accept road block checkpoints, invasion of our privacy, lack of fourth amendment protections "joint military training excerises" with foreign troops training on American soil. Regular military personnel can be seen "policing" at football games, NASCAR races and where ever folks gather in large numbers to have a good time. Nevermind it's illegal.

I doubt anyone knows when martial law will be declared but it will be sooner or later. The USA and it's constitution stands in the way of global government. Looking around lately I see a growing constitutionalist patriot movement growing and this has to be a thorn in the side of the globalists.

If it weren't there wouldn't be a need for the state and media to keep painting those who disagree with the actions of our globalist infested government as dangerous extremists.

Face it folks. If you do not support the dismantling of our republic, the looting of our treasury, the destruction of our economy, the signing away of our national sovereignty, and the contempt for our rights and liberty then you are in danger of becoming an enemy of the corporate fascist state being built around us.

Sooner or later people are going to get fed up and think they have a say in how we live in this country and then we'll see martial law. It may be closer than many of us think.

I don't see how they can declare marshal law over the swine flu. It's not like people are looting the pharmacies or doctor's offices trying to get the vaccine. There is no reason to declare it simply because people are sick.

I might see it happening if riots break out or if people charge the ER by gunpoint. THEN people might go for it, but for now, I don't believe the swine flu will usher in such a drastic measure. They'll wait for something bigger and tell us "it's for our own protection."

The swine flu outbreak is a far cry from a national emergency.

This is definitely a public relations gimmick and perhaps a power play. We'll have to wait and see.

O.K. I'll play.
So what have YOU done to protect yourself and your family from this?
What protections do you recommend for others to protect themselves from the world government conspiracy?
Why do you think that Americans will " be properly conditioned to accept active military troops on the streets as 'normal', then foreign troops."
'We' already 'accept', "road block check-points"?
My gosh, where are you living that people do this?
Do you have proof of "regular military personnel" seen "policing" football, NASCAR and other places? NASCAR is one of the ONLY sports that not only PRAYS before a race, (In Jesus name), but also acknowledges the sacrifice of our young men and women in the military.
Get a life man.
Try leaving your house and going fishing, hunting, golfing, or camping, and try to get away from all the computer conspiracies c%$p you seem to believe in.
God has such a better life for you.
Not one of fear and doubt.
One of hope and His promises kept.

"The call was made at 3 a.m."

O awoke, listened and after a few months responded.

We'll call it "The War on Swine Flu"

No, that would hurt the pig farmers

Let's call it "The War on H1N1"

No, war is bad

Let's call it a "National Emergency"

Gosh that's so nationalistic!

Let's call it "An initiative against Global Warming!"
