Blue states including New York, California, Illinois, and Washington = $6.069 to $4.847
Reddish states including Texas and Florida = $4:608 to $4.220.
Cheapest Red states, Kansas and Oklahoma $4:066 to $4.065

Go figure...

Taxes listed in link:
Oklahoma and Kansas = 19 to 24 cents per gallon.
California and Washington = 51 to 49 cents per gallon.

So high taxes in some states might explain 25 cents of the difference between the cheapest and most costly states, but since the difference is more than $2.00 per gallon between California and Oklahoma, more avenues of pricing pressure are in play in the blue states.

Much of the $2.00 difference in California is due to the regulation that requires gas sold in California to be refined at a California refinery. Their merchants can't just buy on the spot market like much of the rest of the nation.

They gas they sell must meet California standards which the state only certifies if the producer is in California. At least it was that way 20 years ago.

Kind of sounds familiar, eh? Fires at food processing plants all over the country….It’s like the reset is getting pumped & primed to all go down before the elections can happen. Let’s see what they have to say in Davos:

Yes, you are quite right, California requires special blend gas, which is more costly. Also, all the filling stations must put there underground tanks in leak proof vaults, which adds to the overhead costs and are reflected in the increased price. Not to mention higher property taxes.

Bottom line, the Left's war on fossil fuel has resulted in runaway gas prices.

And, if He does not intervene in this country REAL SOON, there is a very real possibility that the devil’s minions will have succeeded in the complete destruction of this country.
Satan & crew can do a lot of damage in the next 7-8 months,
