How about after 2 close games at Detroit? Cleveland playing them so close in Game 1 wasn't a fluke.

Regardless, I'm not sure you're getting what I've actually said. The question was, do the Cavs have enough weapons to beat Detroit? After 2 very close games when the Cavs had great chances to win in both, the answer is yes, they do. I didn't say with any sort of certainty that they would beat them, just that they could.

Detroit is a veteran team and veteran teams do things like stop the opponent when they have to, and make big shots when they have to, like both Mr. Big Shot and Sheed did in Games 1 and 2. Just because I don't like Detroit doesn't mean I don't appreciate the fact that Detroit is an excellent team.

After 2 games, this series is starting to look a lot like the 1990 Detroit-Chicago Eastern Conference Finals.

Well utah, thank you for your participation in this years tourney - we will see you again next year.

I think that derron Williams (a Dallas area kid) is going to be the next superstar point guard in the NBA - If they can add one more piece to the williams boozer tandem, utah will be a force to contend with for a long time.

Hey Jimmy, on Mike&Mike this morning, they were talking about Kobe's suggestion to bring "the logo" back as GM or trade him. Neither Mike thinks he'll be traded, but just for fun, they brought up a Dirk for Kobe trade. What do you think? Should Cuban look into trading for Kobe?

    A question for everybody:
If you were the GM of Portland, would you trade the #1 pick for Kobe? If you were the GM of Seattle, would you trade the #2 pick for him? Keep in mind that Kobe is 29 and probably has about 5 of 6 more good years in him, and he's also one of the Top 5 players in the league.

We had that discussion this weekend. Me, I make the trade. After watching Dirk disappear in the last two tourneys I would love to have Kobe who can take over a game. On the other hand, kobe can be a divisive force in the locker room and community. If he doesnt get his way he demands trades etc.

Cubes loves Dirk, I cant see him trading him, but cubes loves winning. does he love winning more than he loves dirk??

I cant see Kobe going to a team that is not on the verge of winning it all (if he were to go) Dont think he would allow a trade to portland or seattle. If I were one of those teams - I take one of those two top players and build around them - it will take a couple years to build those teams into true contenders (Cle, Chi - even with the great MJ) Kobe would be too old before those teams were good enough

Like I said a few posts back - Cle does not have the weapons to match up with Deet. There is a reason I dont bet on two legged animals for a living!

Cleveland is playing better than I expected, but I still fully expect a Detroit and SA series.

Webdog - I was being sarcastic, Cle is playing great. At this point I think Detroit will win, but it is a tossup if bron bron keeps up his play, and cle figures out how to play all four quarters, Cle will win. If they keep taking the 3rd quarter off Deet will win

Anybody on the bandwagon yet? :)

Classic game tonight. I think the wind is a little bit out of the Pistons' sails.

Still amazed LeBron was left off the NBA first team...

    Webdog,

Are you sure you want your Cavs to win only to get spanked by the Spurs?

Lebron scored the Cavs last 25 points of the game. Are you kidding me? The Pistons had no defense against him.

Ha! AF Guy starts up the trashtalk and the Cavs aren't even in The Finals yet. Awesome.

That was definitely a Jordan-like performance.

I guess Detroit better find some LeBron Rules quick.

While I think the Spurs are going to win the title no matter who they play, I think the Spurs would be silly to underestimate LeBron and the Cavs if they make it.

Remember the lesson of last year when everyone thought the Mavs were going to roll Miami. Yet a superstar in Wade led his team to overcome the West. If LeBron stays hot and plays like he has been the last couple games, they can knock off the Spurs.

I am just kidding, but I do believe the Spurs will win in 6 versus whomever they play.

I have extra tickets to the Finals that I am selling and currently any seats are going 5 -10 times over face value. If the Spurs do win it early and avoid games 6 & 7 I will lose a lot of money. But I can't cheer against the Spurs now can I?
