    Timmy

they replayed that Janmes 3 pointer several times on TNT last night - his foot was in by two inches, it was very clear on on of the camera angles.

Them detroit boys need to pick it up or they will suffer the same fate as last year. they are a much better team than cle - but they are allowing themselves to be extended again

It seems to me that the Pistons just take games off at time. But you wouldn't think they would take 2 off in a row especially with Rasheed's prediction.

I disagree. The Spurs would the foul and technical on Duncan was a 3-5 point swing all by itself. Ginobili fouling out with about 3 minutes left cannot be underestimated at all. The Mavs thrived on foul line jump shots late... many of which were open because Dampier was setting illegal screens.
Agreed there have been bad calls both ways... but most have favored the Mavs and more importantly, the game changing ones have favored the Mavs.

The one where Duncan lost control and threw it over the backboard was pretty bad... but didn't change the game.
Although the officiating was the worst in the blow-out, the Mavs would have won that night anyway. The second game... maybe.

Last night, the Spurs would have won had the officiating been equally bad/good. In fact, they would have won in regulation by 5-10 points.

The turnover on the in-bounds was pretty poor though.

Scott, I respect your opinion. I still disagree.

You know for someone that deals so well in the other forums here with "objective" truth, you sure like to deal with "subjective" truth down here in the sports world. [IMG]

These things lend themselves so well to subjectivity and passion though... but I honestly (and objectively) believe that the officiating in that series has been somewhat Jordanesque in the favor of the Mavs...

Not that the NBA would script anything you know...

Aaahhh whats the show with charles barkly at half time. They showed it and it did appear his foot was out of bounds. Thats what the 3 of them called too?!

True they do, and they can. But will they? Who knows. Might be a good idea for Sheed to keep his mouth shut if he can't back it up. They say he could dominate the game if he wanted too. I haven't see it yet. He is a lazy player.

Barkley could probably run for Gov. in Alabama except the U of A grads would never vote for an Auburn boy.

Did you hear Barkley talking to Dirk after game 2 with the spurs - told ernie and kennie that he had offered dirk ANY amount of money to come to Auburn after he (barkley) had taken a team over to germany to play dirks team. ernie made some comment about the NCAA rules, to which barkley replied - this is the SEC - if your not cheating your not trying! I about fell out of my chair laughing!!

By the way - they had the angle that showed king jame's foot clearly in bounds - all three agreed.

Scott - I think your brain is clouded by silver and black!! If the reffs have a bias it is not in favor of Mark Cuban. Although I think that under avery, the mavs have gone from the whinest team in the league to the team that takes what the reffs give them (for the most part). the spurs, if you were to talk to duncan or manu, have never committed a foul in thier lives. Every foul duncan commits he either has his hands out or on his head as if he cant believe that a foul was called on him. Dirk is starting to get superstar calls however - for the first time in his career.

By the way - look for the mavs to get another big fine. During game three, they showed a video, nicely choreographed called the Manu Flop. It showed Manu flopping after being breathed on throughout the season!

Must have showed it later, at half time right after the shot they showed it and from that angle it sure looked like he was out. All three agreed he was then so they must have changed their mind. No big deal.

I think the Spurs look like a team that is satisfied with having won two NBA championships in the last three seasons and three in the last seven seasons. I just don't think that they have the hunger to take this series from a very hungry Mavericks team.

No complaints from me. I would have been happy if the Spurs had won only one championship in my lifetime. An additional two championships are gravy. [IMG] If the Spurs add more gravy in the years to come, that will be fine with me. :D

Always a possibility but I don't think so in this case. I like the Mavs as well and like Avery a great deal.
I don't think it has anything to do with Cuban. It may not even be intentional. It is there however.
I've seen him throw his hand up numerous times.
And Duncan, a legit champion an star, isn't getting them. Every time he drove the lane there was heavy contact without a foul call.

No Lakers, no Nets guess I am stuck with rooting for the Mavs and who ever is playing Miami (eegads man the Pistons this is a strange and twisted world indeed). Its almost like the Cowboys and the Raiders the only good thing about their game is that when they do play one will lose.

This is kinda how I feel if the Pistons and Heat play each other. I don't care for either team. Thankfully one of them will lose.

But it's more fun around here if the Pistons lose. :D
