Over and agianst this group, another group of religous leaders arose called the pharisees, they were very strict and conservative, seeking to obey the Scriptures to the letter.

Some would contend that the sadducees were the conservatives/fundamentalists of the day because they believed the Torah only. Some might even say it corrected the original text.But were they KJVO?
