When I ate icecream, whatever was in the bowl got mixed up like a casserole.

Cashews and Pistachios for eating...Pecans and Walnuts for baking.

Speaking of corn, do you prefer whole kernel corn or creamy corn?

 

i have never had creamy corn, sounds interesting


Are you having a lazy, restful day after yesterday's activities

 

(I put crackers in my cream-style corn, makes it go farther and tastes good and it's not as soupy- it's a quick way to make scalloped corn)

No, must get some work done today.

Pea gravel or mulch for landscaping?

 

mulch helps with weed control, unless you put black plastic under the pea gravel.

mulch also feeds the soil as it rots.

Do you use a bag mower?

 

(I always use ground cover before laying pea gravel, usually under mulch too unless I'm planting flowers.)

No. Have 'antique' lawnmower, doesn't have a bag. Next mower will be a mulcher!

Do you prune your own trees when the limbs get too low?

 

No trees - had them all taken down!!!

Do you keep the grass trimmed along your fences?

 

No fences - tore down an old, dilapidated picket fence when we moved in. We are going to plant shrubs there for a fence.

Weed-eater or trimming by hand?

 

electric weed eater.

Do you make compost?

 

Yes, absolutely, got two bins on the go, could do with a third.

My whole yard is a garden. We cut it every 10-15 days and keeps just growing back.

Do you go to the farmers market for fruits and veggies or just rely on the grocery stores?

 

(A weed-eater is a tool with a handle and it cuts the weeds with a fishing-line like string..it is a glorified trimmer)

Yes, I go to the Farmer's Market every Wednesday and Saturday morning. That is the only time we have it here.

Have you eaten any homegrown tomatoes yet this year?

 

You can't make me do it. I will only eat ketchup and tomato sauce. Can't eat vegatables, they cause unpaletable reactions in my mouth and gaging reflexes.

Do you like Fish & Chips

 

Love baked catfish, trout and flounder minus the chips.

Where do you sit in the church on Sundays?

 

For a while - on the piano bench.

Then I stand behind the pulpit!!!


Do you like vegetables?

 

Not a great lover of veggies. Tolerate lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, green beans. Do like blackeyed peas and fried okra. Baked potato is a favorite. Cold carrots are good. That about wraps it up. Oh yeah, fresh broccoli is good.

What are your favorite fruits?

 

grapes, loganberries, melon, pineapple, apples rapsberries...


which fruit do you dislike the most?

 

Grapefruit!

Tomatoes....fruit or vegetable?

 

Seeds on the inside equal FRUIT. Same goes for Pumpkins!
