It depends. I love to cook, but I don't like doing dishes! There is just the two of us now, unless some of the grandkids are visiting and it's almost cheaper to eat out...but that sure puts the weight on, so I usually cook at home...

Do you eat square meals or snack?

Well actually I eat on a round plate and will snack at will.

Do you prefer homemade cookies or storebought?

Aside from square shaped things like Saltines, sliced Cracker Barrel cheese [IMG] . . . a veggie, some protein, a little starch. An example might be . . . sliced tomatoes in balsamic vinegar to start, tempeh (diced chicken for you diehards ;) )tossed in a plum ginger sauce with some rice noodles, sliced peppers, pineapple chunks and mushrooms. That's purdy square.

At what temperature do you keep your home thermostat set?

Ground turkey burgers, salad with tomato only, light ranch, 1/4 of melon and ice water. Handful of pecans later for a snack.

How long will you keep leftovers in the fridge?

(I always thought a square meal was meat, potatoes and a veggie)

    68 in winter(55 at night)...78 in summer.

    Central air or window A/C?

(Sue, that's basically what I said - meat (protein - the tempeh or chicken), potatoes (some starch - the rice noodles), and a veggie (a veggie - the mushrooms, tomatoes and peppers). [IMG] )

    Central A/C

If you have animals, do they sleep with you?

Not usually. Maybe one or two tornado watches a season, but this year we have had gobs of watches and 4-5 warnings. We had two tornadoes touch down in Lincoln and have had a multitude of severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings. The wind has done a lot of damage in our town this Spring.

Do you go to the cellar when the sirens wail?

Cellar? Sirens? Does not compute. ;) I don't have a cellar, and we don't have tornado sirens. Odd, though - I had a dream about a tornado this morning. :( If I had a cellar, and we had sirens, I'd go there when they sounded.

What kind of vacuum do you have?

We've had lightweight ones - they don't work!!!
We've had heavy one - they work - but Jan has a difficult time operating them.

We have a built in one, that's not built in yet - bought it last labor day - Jan wishes I'd hurry up and get it installed.

Have you ever tried an Orec?

No, but I used to have a 'Rainbow'. I now just have a large generic vacuum and a small <gasp> 'Dirt Devil', and of course, a 'Dust Buster'!

Have you ever tried a 'Swiffer Duster"?
