Never ending discussion-Part V

Glasses when the pollen count is high, contacts the rest of the time. I actually don't own a pair of glasses, so I stick with contacts all the time. I should get a pair, though, cos without my contacts I'm blind as a bat. I can't even see the big "E" on the chart - it's just a fuzzy black smudge.

How many hours a week do you work?

 

37.5 to 40 at my state job. During the summer construction season - though - I often get a fair amount of overtime in.

At church - whatever it takes!

Do you have a decent retirement plan?

 

I'd say better than decent. I'm going to Heaven and that just can't get any better. Earthly retirement seems bleek at times. But, we continue to save and invest.

Have you ever had a treehouse?

 

Yes.

Do you like motorcycles?

 

I prefer haveing four wheels under me - for the same reason that I don't ski - rollar skate anymore or roller blade. I prefer not to fall down.

Do you like to ski - snow or water?

 

I own a bicycle - I haven't been on it in years. I also have an exercise bike - haven't been on that it years either.

They are both a good form of exercise - much easier on the joints than running or walking fast.

If you intend to bicycle on streets or roads - I suggest wearing a cycling helmet. With the exception of a very few people, concrete and black top usually are not damaged when the human head strikes them.

How much time do you spend exercising?

When I exercise - I want to do something else along with the exercise - so I don't consider it a waste of time.

Walking - is good exercise - I can carry a tape cassette players - and listen to a good message.

Do you like to listen to good Bible teachers/preachers on audio or video tape?

 

I do enjoy both walking and riding my bike. I do
not go to gyms because I just do not want to pay
the money for the things I can do at home much
cheaper. My physical therapist gives me all the
rubber tubing I want, I have several pieces of gym
equipment, two sets of stairs I can run in the
house, and my bike.

I am that way, to, about dieting. I just don't want
to pay someone to weigh me, when I have a good
scale at home. I don't like the attention and hand-
clapping over two-ounce-weight-losses, the
weight-loss-hymns, or the weight-loss-sermons
or the silly prizes or someone telling me what I can
or cannot do! I do best on my own. 8o)

When you garden, do you prefer vegies or flowers?
Do you grow just enough for your family, or do
you find youurself giving a lot away?

 

Mostly vegetables.

We freeze tomato juice, corn, and winter squash - can string beans - and enjoy most everthing else that we plant.

We try to give at least 10% of what we raise away. There are some elderly folks in the neighborhood that enjoy fresh vegetables in the summer.

Let's try this question again - Do you like to listen to good Bible teachers/preachers on audio or video tape?

I listen to the teachers from my synagogue on
tape, and I have a class in which we listen to
certain teachers and duscuss them, their
teachings, and the Bible with what it says.

When you listen to a teacher, are there any you
fully trust and that you do not believe you must
verify at any time?

 

I generally do not listen to teacher/preachers that I do not trust.

Sooner or later - with even the trusted teachers/preachers - I find some area where I am not in complete agreement with them.

I suppose that is to be expected.

What is your opinion of Christian Radio?

 

That it would be nice if it came in with less static. (probably not what you were going for huh?)

What do you prefer the inter-net to?

 

No Kelly I haven't. But the power is out in Jackson from what I saw on the Weather Chanell, so I am keeping hopeful that he isn't posting only because he doesn't have electricity. Just praying and trusting in the Lord. That's all we can do.

 

I kinda prefer the internet compared to mailing letters buying stamps stationary cards etc. It's a lot faster!


How about going out with a group of people or just you and a friend over a cup of coffee or a chocolate shake?

 

I think it depends on who it is. If it's a group of people I know real well, that can be a lot of fun, but if I don't know them too well...it is pretty unbearable...as I'm shy. If it's a one on one outing... also, depends on who it is and how comfortable I am with them. I guess, I prefer going out with my husband to anyone else.
