We used too when I was a kid - mom's family and dad's family.

Lately - my folks with their children and spouses - and grandchildren - once a year at my brother's place at the lake. Now that the grandchildren are moving out and away - its toughter to get them altogether.

Now - Jan and I have spent the Memorial Day weekend with our children, their spouses, and our grandchildren - for the past three years.

    We love it.

Do you like to go on picnics?

I enjoy picnics, preferrably at the ocean. But my
husband built a very nice, long picnic table for
me for my birthda some 12 years or so ago, so I
enjoy them in the back yard as well. I also enjoy
them by the river, in a local park few know about,
in the zoo, or on a park bench.

I have my special picnic table cloth - a red-and-
white-checked one with ants on it. It has little
pockets in each corner, which hold rocks so that
the cloth will not blow away.

We take potato salad, some kind of special bread,
and some fresh raw vegies. For meat, it is kosher
hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, or salmon. Now
that I am dieting, we take his and her drinks.

    Why? Are you inviting us?

Would you like to visit your home town for a week
or two? What would you do? Whom would you
see? What would you refuse to miss seeing?

Got to be Christmas. Why? Work is slow and several days off to spend with family.

    For Christmas, Turkey or Ham?

No - we have a gas forced air furnace.

It's much too expensive to burn wood.
    1. You have to have a chain saw - $250
    2. A pick up truck to carry the stuff - $22,250
    3. A new house when you burn down the old one - $122,250.

I'll just keep paying the gas bill!! [IMG]

To use a gas grill or do you use charcoal?

We use a gas grill. Easy to fire up and we grill 2-3 times a week.

Do you change your own oil?

I used to - but haven't done so in years. In fact - we are getting ready to tear down the garage - I found two gallon jugs with used oil in them - they must have been there at least 15 years. When I tried to pour them into the used oil container at the land fill transfer station - I had to squeeze the ugs to get the oil out - it was so thick!!!

Do you do your own wiring (in your house)?

No. I know 2 Electricians. One is a deacon in my church. Both own their own companys. Both have done some outside work for me.

Will Dan catch up with Gib in posting and who will break the 1000 mark first?
