New Church Starting

    I sat on Gary's ordination council (as I recall) at Fourth Baptist, Minneapolis. That's your dad?

    And my son and your sister were on the Maranatha Messengers back early 90's.

    And where do you get people for your church? Folks in your church witness and share the Gospel and folks get saved. Or people in churches that are doctrinally bereft and are looking for more than the ifbX legalistic mumbo-jumbo and come for a doctrinal feast.

    We're probably the most aggressively-witnessing calvinists you've ever seen!

    Yes that is my dad and sister. I sent you a PM.

    Just as a follow up. You certainly are experienced and smart enough to describe the values that you think are important and right for a church to be about.

    I am only encouraging you, since you asked for our thoughts, to consider stating your values in a way that an un-churched person could understand. I think it would increase your people's ability to aggresively evangelize if you did that.

    But most importantly you are in the battle for truth and right and I'm sure God will bless you and use your new church and ministry.

    I have not found anything more challenging and rewarding than church planting.

    As long as you are a witnessing church I like your idea.
    By the way Dr. Bob how did services go yesterday? I am still praying for you and your new church.
